Yeah I was somewhat puzzeled when I captured Nidaros and got that other city back again as well...

That 3rd was just great. From that game I've got another one where a babylonian worker mines a grassland hill @ around 500 BC or something - on that hill was a hamlet ;)

i love automating workers. i tell about 15 to automate improving my trade-network.
and i keep about 6 in my capital (fortified by multiple units. typically 1 of the strongest of all clases, including an explorer for final defense) to build new improvements wherever necessary. turning on "auto chop" and "leave old improvements" really helps. so far, this is the best strategy i have. however the workers are dumb. they remain working even when there is an enemy unit charging towards them. its a pain in the ass when this happens. then the enemy captures workers. GAH!!! i need a way to comabt this, i think building the first six as non-auto is best right? then auto-road the next 15 to build roads and allow ALL workers to retreat.

its sad, out of all my games i haven't found any really good screenies. :(

If you are going to automate then check the 'workers leave old improvements alone'; then they won't try to change everything, you of course can change an improvement any time without it being changed back!

Only montezuma...

I declared war on his pall o pall o friend of his... Suyavarman.

I walked over to a city, took a beating with loosing 1 macemen vs 10 or so assorted units of Survey. A couple of turns later... Monty declares war on his friend...

*UGH* You gotta be kidding right???

What is with all those things saying stuff about trade and that the city will grow to size 7 next turn?
It is a mod allowing you to see more info about your empire. Look for the Beyond the Sword Unaltered Gameplay (BUG) mod in the Creation and Customisation forums.

Actually it is the HOFMOD not BUG... but I think it is parts of BUG that was implemented into the HOFMOD....

It's Civ4lerts, which was incorporated into many mod(pack)s, HOF and BUG being among them. It's possible to just get Civ4lerts for itself though if one doesn't want or need the other things these mods offer.

@mystyfly - re your first picture ...

Spoiler :
requires route... on ocean, right

... That city doesn't have a route because there are fog tiles in the way. In your screenshot, you can see 1 fog tile in the North and 1 in the South (just under scoreboard). Those fog tiles are blocking the route.

Re the Alerts system in the BUG mod - we've added a few more alerts like trade defensive pacts, permanent alliances, etc that (IIRC) are not in the original mod.

I've already had this in other games as well, I'm pretty sure they were connected properly. U're sure?

Nice to read, great work :goodjob: and no, they weren't in the original mod.
