Fury Road LS Mod Mod

I just started playing fallout 2 to get back into the game so i can suggest stuff and get da art. Aside from a lot of cabbage there is the equal amount of mutated corn. Seems corn should stay. Geckos should be used instead of deer, and golden geckos instead of fur. Thats what i found out so far. ;)
 
I started testing the raiders and slavers, the pillaging mechanic was a great add on, really pushed me to go outside my diplomatic comfort zone! I saved the game before I headed to work and when I returned my game crashed as I tried to load it from the Main menu.
 
I tried several times but the results were as before immediate crash to desktop. I had saved while playing as the BoS and didn't have problems loading, during that play through.
 
Im playing Restoration Project. I think its the best. I know there are no those resources i was just thinking of using them as basis, and maybe change bonuses.
 
Yes BoS test was from a previous build.

I started a new game saved and the loaded, this time i managed to catch a message from the crash "failed to compress game data." Hope that helps in someway.

hey en dotter I found this download for making buttons, not tried it yet but should be real speedy useful :-)

I too have the save game issue, with 'unable to uncompress game data' error. so sav games are busted for now... I have posted on the modding Q's thread, so I shall see if i get a solution from someone of greater wisdom than I!
 
Oh, tnx so much. I spent more than an hour searching for those last night and i didnt manage...
 
Im gonna upload my 1st tech icon. I made it as a button so i get familiar with stuff. Dont know if the same format is used for tech tree. I can easily modify it for that purpose ofc. I took some screens from the game (pistol, ammo and part of interface) and merged it and stuff like that.

Its JPEG so u cant use it ingame yet. I havent done any conversion to DDS but thats not a problem.
This is just a "sample" so u know what i intend to do.

EDIT:
I could use actual screenies from game to make custom unit icons. I can take usual raider screen to make raider unit button, Power armor guy for enclave stuff, etc. etc...
 
Bah... Now when i look at it, it would have been better if i positioned gun as if it was lying donw and not as if it was "stanging"...
 
Cool then! When i make several of these ill send u a package or upload to dropbox and give u da link.

I think ill be making more now. It takes less than 15 min per one (im slow i know... still new to button stuff...). I might be doing it faster as the time passes so expect at least 5 done tonight. ;)
 
Cool I look forward to seeing more :-) Yeah the thing that takes the time is compiling the image and shrinking it all down and generally cleaning it up! :-)

I am just not looking forward to the nightmare of fixing this merge issue....I have the terrifying feeling of searching through so many files over and over again and finding nothing that i can fix!!!
 
Here is DDS for small arms so u can test it. Please do so asap so i can get feedback if it works or not. If something is different than bmp im also sending u please take a screenshot and send it to me so i can figure stuff out. ;)

Hmmm. Seems it lost quality after conversion to dds... Hm... Im gonna send u a new one in a moment using photoshop add on. Im really not sure if it will work or not. It should be better quality.
