Hi!! Sorry if someone has discussed this previously, but as I cannot seem to find it, here goes:

1. I finished researching everything in the tech tree. What is Future Tech and what does it give me? Should I research it, or is it just there to annoy me? I was able to finish Future Tech 1 but noticed no improvement.

2. What's the deal with powerplants? If I build 2, do I get the benefits of both, or do I just get the benefit of the last one built? What power plant do you usually build?

3. How do I deal with Global Warming? Why does it increase? What steps can I take to decrease it?

4. I have cities in not-so-ideal places, so they are stuck with 10 or so population, and I also have other cities gushing with food. Is there any way to trade food between my cities?

Thanks!

1. Future tech adds to your end score. You can never finish researching future tech as afterwards it will just make a new one. Future tech 1, 2, 3, 4.......

2. Only one power plant can be built for abeneftit. You can build a factory, a power plant, and a manufacturing plant to maximize production. I usually wait and build Hoover damn for hydros.

3. Global warming can be dealt with by having your workers immediately clean up any pollution. Mass transits and recycling center reduce the frequency of pollution appearance.

4. Food trading is not allowed.

Your welcome!

Hoover Damn? That's an offensive Wonder, huh?:D

Hahahahahahahaha!!!! Oops! I meant hoover dam for all the young children out there. I guess chatting with people on line has burned in certain tendencies......

Hmmm... thanks!

1. Is there any way to prevent grasslands from turning into plains/deserts/whatever due to global warming?

2. Would it be wise to put libraries and universities and such on ALL cities?

3. Are factories really worth it, and would you put it on ALL cities or what?

1: Clean up pollution as fast as you can. That's about it. If you see the yellow sun on the display, there's pollution somewhere. Later on you can build improvements that lower pollution levels. Unless you really are far behind in production or have lots and lots of workers, I'd go so far as to say dont build polluting structures until you get them.

2: Depends on your play style. I like cities with high culture so for me, it would be yes. If you're far ahead in the tech research field, you likely dont need to, but libraries are cheap enough to build there's no real reason not to if you arent at war, IMO.

3: Keeping in mind #1? HECK yes. :)
