OK, let's go... may be we realy don't need delay...
Of course, now we are using not the best leader for Space but not the worst. I think the Space results for different leaders will be close enough. For example, I think Grey Cardinal could win before 1000AD with any leader.

I took 1 attempt to this gauntlet but I didn't finish it. Instead I took it over to domination, but then my game got excluded. Kinda forgot I played a few turns before quitting and playing from the autosave later.

I did not have much time, that's the problem.

My plan was to rush to Biology and Natl Park, which I think can be realistically built by 500 BC at least. Then run 25+ specialists from food + forest preserves, no happy/health problems, etc. Then bulb Astro, then go for Mining Inc (scientific cities can build their scientific improvements), then Labs via Refrigeration (use GM from Economics to found Cereal Inc for more food, build Forest preserves for extra happiness).

Then accumulate 5-6 Scientists while teching to Rocketry and Industrialism, then bulb Fission-Fusion stuff. Should be done by 200AD. Then simply build parts as fast as you can.

I failed miserably the initial part, though, finished Natl Park in 200BC only. I guess with better Gold/Silver cities in the West + some luck with Settlers/Workers from GHs even 500AD is possible.
