I have Civ3 and it works fine. The CD actually was too scratched to install after I got a new HD but I managed to transfer the files from my other computer and Civ3 works fine, just not in its default folder. I installed Conquests and nothing happens. If I click the icon it changes the res of my monitor like its starting up
then it goes back to normal and nothing else. When the CD autoplay is up, the Play button doesnt do anything either! Help!

Sounds like you should contact your country's distributor and ask if they would replace the CD's, as soon as you've sent in the originals...

Try to go to a local video store or music store and ask if they have a CD cleaning machine ... it cost almost nothing and your CD will be good as new !!

If I understand what you are saying here; you have Civ3 in one folder and C3C in another. C3C has to be in the same folder as Civ3; I think. There are a couple of ways to solve this:

1)Reinstall C3C and specify that it install in the folder where Civ3 is now. You can do this during installation. When the wizard ask where you want to install, hit browse and find the folder where Civ3 is. Click on it. That way all paths will point to this folder and C3C should run.

2)Find the C3C files currently on your HD. Move or copy these files to the folder where Civ3 is. This will involve modifying or replacing your short cuts to start the game; but this is not too difficult if you know a little about sub directories and paths.
NOTE: You could also move all the Civ3 files into the directory that now holds C3C (instead of movinf C3C); but you will still have to modify the paths.

If you need any more help, let me know.

BTW: Welcome to CFC :)

One more thing be kinder to your civilization disks. I don't know how they are getting damaged they should never leave your CD-Rom drive. ;)
