Our character design contest for Galactic Civilizations II: Dark Avatar is about to end in two days, on September 22nd. If you haven't submitted your entry yet, check out the contest thread here and submit yours before the deadline!

The top three submissions will receive a signed Galactic Civilizations II: Dread Lords Collector's Edition & Dark Avatar, a GalCiv2 T-Shirt, a die-cast metal starship from the game, and a TotalGaming.net account with 10 tokens. The top entry will also receive a free copy of Stardock's next PC strategy game.

The contest allows multiple entries per poster, so double login is not an issue. Besides, the winners are chosen by the character designs, not by a random drawing (unlike the previous sweepstake).

We're finalizing the entries.

Because there were so many good entries, we're going to expand the prizes beyond what we had originally said so that there will be more people receiving prizes.

Also, because some of the ideas are so good and interesting, I'm seeing how much of the story can be altered and adding some new specific features in order to put them in.

Some of the concepts submitted are so interesting that they've inspired some new features to be added to the expansion pack.

So anyway, we're working on it. Should be today or tomorrow at the latest.
