Game causes computer crash, then the computer crashes again.

So my game crashed the computer to the "we are dumping your physical memory"

Ok.

I turn it of, turn it on. Decide not ot play the game but de-frag my HD to assit in the game playing. In the middle of the de-frag I get droped to the blue screen again. And I can hear my HD chirping.

So can anyone explain what happened just now ? I'm assuming the game used up too much of the virtual memory, windows swaped the HD memory in, and then when that was used up the cpu crashed.

But wth would it crash during defrag process ?

I got yet another "physical memory dump" screen, this time the only thing that the computer was doing was playing mp3 music....

This is very disconcerning, I would apreciate some feedback.

Sorry to say but that chirping was a hard drive crash. So the first thing you need to do it back up your data before the HD fails totally. As for what is causing the blue screen of death probably a problem with the HD or a damaged install of windows but it probably was not civ 4 fault.
