Game crashes :(

Hello, my game crashes to desktop from time to time which is extremely annoying

PC specs are:
Intel Pentium 2,4Ghz
1gig DDR Kingstom RAM
Asus Geforce FX 5700 256mb

any idea or any tips/hints?

im crashing a lot on my FX5200 too, best thing i found was rolling back to 77.72 drivers, and running the process at high priority - this has decreased the amount of crashes, though they still occur sometimes. :<

I was crashing about once every 5 moves, now its more like 1 in 50 :\

Have you tried playing in window mode? I have a geforce fx 5950 ultra 256 with the latest drivers (81.85), and I haven't experience a crash yet.

my game crashed alot too..have a radeon x850..i would be playing then bam--straight to desktop. I had changed a few xml files. So, in desperation, i deleted all me xml files in the documents folder..deleted all the d/l'ed mods. And now it doesnt crash at all.

well after eagerly waiting for the patch i've tested the game once more, and yep, still Crash To Desktop happends about an hour or two out in the game, i tried Hakkonen's patch with no luck except it runned a little better. I have logging on but im unsure which log files i should post here, if anyone wanna help please let me know which log to paste in here and i will.

I added a DXDiag and a MSInfo and zipped all the files in the Log folder and upped to my webspace if anyone wants to take a look

btw, before the 1.09 patch the game would crash to desktop without any info, now there's a Civilization4.e.exe error then to desktop
