Game Font Editor development thread

While I remember, the WoC fonts can be found here, along with the XML files that were added.

I tried downloading it a few times (both the tar ball and the font files separately) but the files were corrupted

I assume you're trying to right-click and save-as? Try clicking on them and then on "Download" next to the line about the HEAD revision. That works for me.

Tried that, and the files were downloaded, but they were corrupted for some reason...
Anyway, I got DH's WoC files (and they indeed revealed some problems in the editor), so that should be enough.

I'm not sure if the gamefont editor could do this, but do you know what to edit to enlarge or use a larger gamefont such as the one in WOC?

The game font editor can edit existing WoC font files, but it can't change the size of an existing font file.

Yeah, it was new for me too.

BTW, a small progress report: I've already added a few features for v0.4 - a config file, auto creating transparency from an opaque image (not in a very professional way, but it does the trick for simple icons), and a few more fixes.
I'm currently busy with some other things but I'll get to it (hopefully soon) and work on making it something I can release.

I'm not getting any errors from the Gamefont editor, but I'm still getting a crash when fonts are initialized. Any ideas why this might be?

Strangely enough, I was wrong about this. Somehow, the error isn't coming from the .tga files at all, but from somewhere else. The .tga files work fine on their own.
