Game freezes at random

Since the latest patch v1.3.0 the UI keeps freezing at seemingly random points during the game. I can still hear the music and voice, but the game becomes non-responsive. Eventually, I have to reboot my MacBook. Does anybody else have that issue? (I have a MacBook Pro 2019, macOS 10.15.5 and run the game on a second monitor in FullScreen and Metal and an external mouse).

I have seen this too. I have tried to reduce the frequency by cutting extraneous mods, reducing map size (I usually play Enormous with YNAMP) and going to the strategy view about turn 100. This seems to help, but still get hit randomly.

I didn't experience this on 1.3.0 but it seems to be a consistent issue at a certain point in the game on 1.3.1.
