game loading on playstation civ2

it is weird on the playstation i figured out the loading the game during the game mode it does like this and the game locks up on that specific save once in a while and possable lose a save from loading. has anyone else have this problem that is a playstation civ2 owner. it is a good thing there is a back way to load without problems which you just go to retire and reload the game.

Nope Ive never had that problem!
I lose more games from the computer than the playstation.

Ive lost many a game on the playstation. It gets screwed up quite often actually and it just gets too long between turns at the end. The PS version is an inferior version no doubt!

I still have it for ps, but since Ive gotten the pc version i havent played it......

I have found the Playstation verson VERY reliable.
I don't trust that computer AT ALL!
I have the PC verson but since I got it on the ps I never play it on the PC.
and besides I can't multiplayer my brother without the PS verson.

My mate plays on a PS and reckons that the problem isn't with the machine, but with the memory cards. The Sony memory cards are the most reliable, but can't be guaranteed not to lose saved files. Independently manufactured cards are a lot more likely to lose files even if you check they are inserted properly. This isn't an ad for Sony cards or anything, but they do seem to work a lot better.

This isnt an ad for sony either, but that certainly is true. The cards with multiple pages are th most notorious for losing saved data......

But losing games isnt the only thing sketchy about the playstation version. Later in the game, I'd occasionally get a blank screen, not being able to see the map. Also, the music tracks sometime get corrupted and start playing parts of the track, such as a certain note, over and over. Very annoying. Besides, when you're in modern times, with large empires, turns take an extraordinary amount of time......much more than the PC.

It might be becaouse I only have and buy sony memory cards and for me the music is never a problem because I always turn down the music and blast the sterio and mabey now and then I will turn down the sterio and listen to the adviser's speak there wise stupitity.

one annoying thing on psx version the adivsor call you by making a certain noise over and over until you bring up the adivsors.

??????????????????????????? I have the playstation verson and I have no Idea what you are talking about???

For me the advisers only ask you once every 200 years or so and don't bother you anymore. even if I don't speak with them

I think your going crasy!
