@PrinceScamp: Uhm, that link didn't have a single thing on topic.

I meant play. Yeah, Vista would be your problem then, tried running it in compatability mode?

I've tried compatibility mode back to 2K, as the box says it only works on NT-based Windows (2K and XP)

Swein you just keep at it, I'm sure you'll figure it out!

@Aimee I've heard you mention horse games more than once. My interest is piqued, what games are you playing?

Tried comp for XP? Otherwise, I think you're out of luck.

Different ones... I've found ones developed by this French company, Lexis Numberique to be good quality. And the rest... I haven't found any as good quality. Some of them are so buggy you literally have to hack the savegame files to continue. If you want a list, I'll make one up, but I'm half-asleep right now.

What exactly is an "AAR"? I see it about 5 or 10 times on the front page. Googling didn't work. :dunno:

Thank you. :) So basically, it's like telling what happened in the game after you've finished it?

I don't really like game tutorials, I like to teach myself unless it's extremely complex.

Which most of the games these AARs are based on (Hearts of Iron II and Europa Universallis 2 or 3) are complex.

Besides being entertaining or sometimes being able to give your input on the future of the game being played, they also give an insight into someone elses strategy. It's not really about learning to play the game for me usually, but how else to play the game.

Moderator Action: You simply mean to say that aimeeandbeatles has started too many threads. I have to agree. We lose oversight this way. Please try to cluster certain topics into one thread, or take some time before you start a new item.

Since this thread isn't about games, I'm closing it.

I hope I don't temper your enthusiasm, aimeeandbeatles. Your threads are quite nice and on topic. :) It's just that it's a bit too much all at once...
