Game Saturn

Well I finally got to pop that hut from way in the beginning of the game, and I'm happy I didn't run off to meet it earlier. I got barbs. Hopefully my archer will be able to handle two warriors...

Also another wonder, another map... also I'm trying to get the distances in the big supercontinent more to scale, I know not everyone is as close as Toch/DMOC. Although it will probably be ages before the continent itself is anything but a big random blob.

Lord Parkin, I looked at the stats for Return to Duniapetu...if you can just get an ally to stick with you, that game is in the bag....

A runaway civilization by that margin in a lot less likely in this game because tech trading is on. But feel free to keep your eye on him. ;)

Yeah, no tech trading leads to the possibility of those sort of situations. I wouldn't say the Duniapetu game is in the bag, but the other nations are certainly going to have a bit of catching up to do to give me a run for my money. :)

Luckily we've got tech trading on in this game, so everyone will be much more at par. ;)

Jut did some more exploring near me. My land is garbage!:mad:

Had to agree. Haven't seen all, but you seem to have the most challenging starting position in our continent with plenty of jungle and the land that isn't under the jungle seems quite poor. Elkad probably has best land.

Looks like a quick beeline to Liberalism-Fusion should save the day.

What, no food resources or something?

Usually jungle land is pretty superb after you clear it, plenty of grasslands for financial cottages. I mean I know jungle is difficult to start with but usually it pays off well, unless there's something else going on here. Then again I've played some Tropical maps before...

Plus anything poor regarding your or Lord Parkin's start is karma for picking a friggin financial leader. ;)

I used wrong wording. I meant to say that south from jungle isn't that good. Tiles under the jungle are decent at minimum, but it takes long time to get them up.

I can't believe how long it's taking me to meet everyone. Probably mostly because my darned Warriors keep getting EATEN ALIVE... ;)

Jungle starts are never that easy, but after Calendar they're often brilliant...

EDIT: And a barbarian Warrior is next to where one of my exploring Warriors walked this turn. Gee, I wonder what the odds are that I'll lose my fourth exploring Warrior...

Yeah, you're not the only one. Well subbing for hellhound, surprised at how few people he had met... just elkad and plako.

aargh...there is massive barbage /(^___^)\

Kind of funny that being the only guy here isolated, barbs are almost a non-issue. That's not normal.

Guess that says something about the size of my island...

A lot of silly 1 strength wolves are suiciding into my archer though, that's nice of them.

Edit: Barbarian warriors are around now, eh? Wonder when I can expect barb archers to show up...

Seems like we've evolved into two packs of six in terms of scores. I'm leading the losing pack, yay!
