I think this is the best place for my question.
My computer does alright with Civ 4 and its' expansions, but as the game progresses it begins to slow. I don't mean the turns take longer to process: that actually never gets too bad. But opening the city screen and unit reaction times (move here, takes a few seconds to process and move them) takes longer and longer as the game goes on.
I'm pretty sure it's an issue with not having enough RAM, and then the resultant use of virtual memory, because if I save and quit the game to the main menu, and then reload the game, the lag dissapears only to build up again over about 30 minutes.
Anything I can do about this, besides upgrade my computer?
