I have a Dell Latitude D610 with the following specifications:

Pentium IV Mobile 2 GHz
Radeon Mobility X300
1 GB RAM

I know this meets the minimum requirements, but I was curious if anyone can share their gameplay experience if they have the same system or something similar. The laptop also has a native resolution of 1400x1050 and I would like to play at that.

I don't know if a Dell D610 owner will answer here, so I'll talk about my system. It's not quite the same as yours, but maybe it helps...

Asus AV6a
1,73 GHz
Ati X700m 128 MB
1 GB RAM

Everything works fine and I am quite happy with it. I don't know how much "power" the X300 card has, but I think it'll work...

I think the x700m is much better than the x300m in terms of performance. I'm more concerned about the power of my video card than I am about the CPU. I appreciate your feedback though.

Just an update...

I bought the game and here are my experiences:

-no bugs or glitches - everything seems to be working in order
-running at 1400x1050 with all graphic options on high and no anti-aliasing
-average between 10-20 FPS depending on the zoom level (highest FPS when zoomed in all the way)
-changing from high to medium graphic settings has no effect on FPS
-changing from no anti-aliasing to 2x or 4x has performance hit

Overall I know 10-20 FPS (15 average) sounds crappy, but its acceptable to me considering its a turn-based game. If it were a FPS or even a RTS it would probably bother me.

So for a video card that's at the bottom of the pile, its doing pretty good.

I have no problems with my ThinkPad T43 which has a X300 video card and recent drivers provided by IBM/Lenovo's excellent service.

My old Dell Inspiron 8200 with a Geforce4 440 Go had the black terrain glitch until I found a modified beta driver that was more recent than the over 1 year old drivers on Dell's site.

I have a D610 laptop provided by work and the game is functional, but I still get that crash ranging from 10-30 minutes of gameplay.
