Gandhi, you jerk!

Site 1: I think it should be 1 spot east, work the rice and the gold.
Site 2: Personally I'd build the copper city on the wheat. This city won't have a food surplus tile until Civil Service. It seems like it'll be stuck at size 2-3 for a long time. But I can see not wanting to waste the wheat tile as well.
Site 3: Looks like 3 cottages and the rest water tiles
Site 4: No reason to have it if site 1 is 1 tile east
Site 5: Maybe move it 1 tile NE and move site 6 1 tile N
Site 6: Move 1 tile N
Site 7: Looks good
Choke: Looks good

I don't think we need to build lots of cities like in civ3, we need only decent ones. Cities without food resource is very questionable IMHO.
Site 1: :agree: with njorls
Site 3: :agree: with njorls and TheLastOne36
Site 2: Only if there is some other strategic resource we can't see yet (ie. iron, alu, oil. coal, uranium) AND we can't get it from somewhere else.
Site 4,5: useless, I think.
Others: My suggestions are on the dot map in post #24
(6: same as njorls's, 7&choke seems to be consensus :goodjob: )

Ok nix site 4 and 5.
move site 1 east 1 tile and site 6 north 1 tile.

I'm cool with all that but unclear on sites 2 and 3. Are you saying settle on the wheat?

who's turnset is it anyway?

and i'm a bit unclear, so we're settling the wheat or not? and what other city's are we settling?

I think Negy voted for settling on wheat, I'll vote for settle on wheat.

I think you're up. Copper city first and then choke point sounds like a plan. There's 1 barb archer left.

For techs, we'll need sailing and iron working at the choke point, probably IW first, lots of jungle to clear.

Yes, LastOne, your up.

Njorls and Negy really want to settle on the wheat first...so lets give it a try. If it doesn't work out I'll just edit this post. :)

Turn 1: Nada
Turn 2: Our warrior wins against that last Barb archer above us, our scouting warrior fights the wolf and wins. Settler completes, start stonehenge.
Turn 3:
5zqbcd2

Turn 4: our barb warrior is attacked by another warrior. I start chopping to get stonehenge.
Turn 5: nothing much.
Turn 7: Built bombay on wheat, starts fast worker. Wheel finishes, starts preisthood.
Turn 8 : everythings fine.
Turn 9: I whip stonehenge. Nothing special other then that.
Turn 10: Judaism is founded in distant lands.

Delhi: Settler (chopped the forest on silk) -> work boat (finished) -> Oracle(?) it would take 11 turns with 2 chops.
Research: Priesthood -> IW. If the next one is pottery we can grab MC from the Oracle.
In 2 turns we can secure choke city.
Basicly that's all. The question: do we want the Oracle now or want more cities, workboats etc.
The save

i would say pass on oracle. We're focusing on Espionage right? We can steal much more techs then 1 through Espionage then we could with oracle.

I just built the Apastolic Palace in a solo game last night, it's tons of fun. I used the Oracle to get Theology, then used a spy to convert my neighbors.

So I would highly recomoned that course of action.

Guys i'm sorry.. I've downloaded the new patch forgetting about these SG's...

So my game isn't compatable with these SG's anymore... :(

I might not be able to play anymore... Enless of course it's compatable which i really don't think...

Don't give up hope yet, i'm going to try to see if it'll work.

No, everything will be fine! all i have to do is install the old patch after i install the new patch to play, and when i need to, i just have to install the new patch again. might be confusing but it really isn't! :)

Turn 0: Change Oracle to Fast Worker. Settling party can't do anything w/o a worker, will wait for it.
Interesting how Delhi and Bombay are a trade network w/o a road or sailing, maybe because their borders touch, never knew that worked as well. That means sailing can be pushed back perhaps.
Goal is to hook up copper and work on army/infrastructure, and found chokepoint.

Turn 3: Iron Working is in. Source of Iron near Delhi:

Research pottery for granary and cottages.

Turn 6: Calcutta founded at chokepoint. Worker chops forested hill jungle.

gandhi-calcutta0000.jpg

Turn 7: Pottery in, research Sailing

Turn 8: Source of Copper discovered near Delhi! Worker sent to road it up.

Woodsman 2 warrior gets caught in open land vs barbs, wins, but has to heal

Turn 9: :coffee:

Turn 10: Jungle tile cleared, Calcutta no longer unhealthy.

2 turns left on Sailing. Great Prophet next turn, a shrine sounds good.

Hurray, my turn again!

We need some luck to be able to build Apostolic Palace, our state religion must be present in 2 other countries and we have found only 1 yet ... but we have enough time to do that.
I would insert one more workboat for Delhi into the build queue and a settler for the gold/rice city. We could use that commerce.
