Geeky nerd seeks new computer

I'd just get a retail from Newegg or Tigerdirect while they're still available.

Be careful with OEM discs from manufacturers. They're sometimes coded to specific hardware, and will refuse to install on anything else. You still need a valid license key too.
Yeah, that's why you have to ask for a plain OEM disk. Some manufacturers will provide you with one.

Get an OEM from the link I provided, and it will work on any computer you want, and is the cheap. however, the OEM edition has the following limitations-
1) the first Computer you ACTIVATE Xp on, is the computer that it will be 'stuck' on Although you may be able to "convince" Microsoft otherwise...).
2) You get no support from Microsoft, since you are the 'system builder', you have to provide support to yourself.

Yes, however, it would be more expensive, and be nearly the same.

I'd go retail anyway, since WinXP will only get harder to find in the future, and retail lets one reinstall on different machines.

these are the requirements you have to meet:lol:
Essentially you can buy anything at a store and you will be able to play with max settings. There's no need to break the piggy bank on this one.
