General Knowledge Quiz

@tailless: Right person, wrong year.

Correct. :)

Okay, here's a quick (and funny) one.

What is the 7th largest French city ?

(it is, of course, a trick question).

Largest in population of French born citizens...

That should send you searching.
btw, I would have bet my left testicle that you'd be the one to answer first :p

Googled it too. I'm surprised that size of population can qualify for the top ten.

Wiki sez it's Strasbourg.

That's still a bit vague.

If you look at commune, you have
1- Paris
2- Lyon
3- Marseilles
4- Toulouse
5- Nice (346 000)
6- Nantes (281 000)
7- Strasbourg (272 000)

If you look at Urban area
1- Paris
2- Lyon
3- Marseille
4- Lille
5- Toulouse
6- Nice (930 000)
7- Bordeaux (925 000)

It is estimated that 300,000 French citizens are living in London.

So if you count the communes, it's the 6th city, no the 7th.
And if you count the Urban area it's 27th, just before Le Havre and after Brest.

It is estimated that 300,000 French citizens are living in London.

Not in London, but in Great Britain.

But the answer I was looking for is indeed London !
There are no hard facts about numbers, just estimates. The range varies between 30k - 60k living in London proper. I said 7th largest because that's what an article in 'Le Monde' used based, again, on estimates.

Go ahead now, ask a question.

Go ahead now, ask a question.
The last census (2001) gives 38,000 French in London, that would put London very far behind (i.e. not 7th).

A question... Hmm....

An easy one. Gives the 6 countries with the most jewish people, in the correct order.

1.Israel
2.USA
3.France
4.Germany
5.Russia
6.UK?
5 of these countries are in the list... So one shouldn't be there, and one is missing.

About Order, Israel and USA are the two first, and depending how you count one or the other is first.

1. Israel
2. USA
3. Russia
4. France
5. Canada
6. Germany

Still one country that shouldn't be in the list (same country as in NonConformist list), and one is missing (not the same as NonConformist).

I think you should be able to have the correct list now
