General Turn Discussion

We'll certainly move up there and see whats defending it. I kind of hate to waste a free city though. I'd like a better look at the terain before I vote to raze it. Also any idea how much maintenace that would be or if it fits in with other city placement plans.

If it was 1 tile north it would fit into our cities plans. I woudl have approximately a -20GPT effect on our economy. If it was in the perfect spot (useing the bananas as well thus = our GP center long term, we might be able to do it)

But in the non ideal location, we needto raze it as that is in effect crippling our economy...

It's distance 20 from the capital, and to put it into perspective, the gold city site streches our economy quite a bit, and is only 15 distance away and provides gold, so can pay for it's own maintenence, but not the increase in other cities.

That city would have to be amazing for us to keep, IMO, or be in a very strategic spot.

Aren't barb cities usually defended by archers? Then again, we haven't seen any archers yet, since no-one has researched archery.

I believe the way EP works in general, it is figured as a ratio of EP against one another + X percentage of total spending to get certain aspects available to view.

It's really pretty straight forward, you only have 2 ways to affect the opposition (their EP anyway), spend more than them, or run counter-espionage missions.

The biggest problem I see with MP, if the human is paying attention, They will know WHO is "attacking" by keeping track of of available EP points every turn.

If you are at war already, then that is no big deal, but in peace time, even if your spy doesn't get "caught" in the game, the opponent should KNOW exactly who perpetrated the act.

I think that the site has pigs - in any case, we should check it out and see.

It will be defended by warriors, I think - big worry is if it has axes, more than archers, but I think it's early for barb axes.

i will make sure that when we "explore" it we are on a forest.jungle for the def bonus incase it is axes. but i am 99% sure it will be 2 warriors.

I have never seen anything but archers in barb cities (well, I've seen longbows, but it's too early for that).

the PBEM jsut had warriors in the city. and it was T100. preatorians killed them

FYI working on T update. it will take me ~2 hours. I will try and catch all the diplo in there to for other team members who want the coles notes version!

Hi, WTH?

Espionage spending is weighted 4 for both Kaz and Cav. That required 7 deliberate clicks against the wishes of the team which is currently 2 for getting some demographic info vs nobody else gives a sh*t.

@1889 check my last post....that is what i meant.

I will fix it before i end the next turn to get 4 points on Kaz though :)

Oh, right...well then...I'm glad we had this little talk. ;)

Little ingame bonding with Husch :D

My rationale was this. we want them to be our friends. Our worker will be safe, so give them a little map info, may go a long on the diplomatic front.

But ...How predictable were MS moves? :D

Also at 98.7% I think we attack to get the promo to woods II for quick SE exploration and maybe a worker steal on Cav  Anyone disagree?

Anyone think we should go anywhere other than NW?

Do we know of any other barbs walking around there? I'd go SW myself, to get some bonus hill vision.

I think NW - I'm guessing that's where Saturn is, if Kaz (methos is Kaz, right?) have met them.

Am good with giving map info to Mad Scientists. They are financial, just like us, so the two of us might be a very strong tech partnership.
