General Turn Discussion

Moving SW last turn would have put us in a better position to see what's around in that little valley -- now, we just found a mountain and miss out on what was to the SW till later (potentially much later).

I vote SE.

Who says mountains aren't interesting? Right now, I'm more interested in the mountains than in the land, since it's too far away for our first two/three cities anyway, and too filled with jungle to be of quick use.

i agree. Even if there was a perfect city site there, for city #2 it would be no good...too far away and no direct roading ability.

in looking at the map right now:

city #1 is with the wheat (and i hope copper)
city #2 is the cows.

City #3 we can then look at the gems / somewhere else.
==>again nicepart of creative is we don't have to foudn a city for the gems, the culutre of the production city will encompass it fast enough.

True enough...but we really want to be able to work those Gems if we can, and sooner rather than later given a choice.

Iron Working is good for finding Iron also....not just chopping jungle.:D

SE(3) for the next move IMO.

I want the gems, too, but it's very likely going to be #5 or much later - all that jungle has to get cleared out for a city to be able to be much more than size 1.

Besides, I think production is more important so early in the game than commerce. We need workers, settlers and military more than techs right now.

I'm believing Kahra's map more I vote SW or E and then SW.

fair enough. that city will need 3 (ideally 4) workers to properly develop. so until we have that type of resource to dedicate founding it will be a drain on the economy. (unless our ealriest intention is soley for the :) bonus)

where to now?

Wait and see how much health the warrior has after getting attacked I suppose. If lots of health left East again, if very little health and the lion can attack, move 7 and try to heal.

Good call not attacking!
Even if we had won, we'd have been dead for sure thanks to the second lion. :ack:

I say no matter what happens, we should move E (6) again. Assuming we're still alive.

Perhaps if he lives, the Warrior could be named Col. Patterson? Anyone who's seen The Ghost and the Darkness would love it!

I agree...stay on the hills. E(6)

Good choice, Memphus!

Onward, East (if we don't have to heal).

:salute:

my role is to follow the will of the team and intrepret (like on this last turn) what the best course of action is.

btw if there was ever a more difficult choice (such as unannounced tech trade) i would exit the game and post for a 5-6 hour discussion prior to playing the save.

Memphus

Fine stewardship, Memphus!

My vote for this next turn:
  • If the Lions move westward; move the warrior SE.
  • If the Lion's hold or move east; move the warrior East.
  • If the Lion attacks and the second lion is not a threat; Heal.
  • If we are attacked, the second lion is a major threat, and we can flee eastward; run.

We probably want to stay on the hill, because of the 25% defensive bonus. Or if I remember right there is another one (hill) to our east.

EDIT: I think not matter what we need to move east damaged or not. The hill to the east is a Jungle/hill/grassland and it gives us a 75% defensive bonus. How do you set the markers in the game?
