Nothing I understant why but this whould probably be called the Absence thread, not Vacation thread if we are going to classify one day as a issue...
I'm taking a daylong vacation. I think your definition is too inflexible. I also choose to note that While We Wait and other threads are inappropriate places for a notice that I or anyone else will be gone for a period of time, even if it is short; the vacation thread is the closest analog. Also, though it was somewhat tongue in cheek, I indicated a possible extension to said vacation, giving it somewhat more legitimacy.

Haha mate, I am not having a go at ya or anything I was making an observation in general, I just find it funny that people feel they need to post that they will be away for a day from the forums... its 24 hours people!

Well, I'm not going on a vacation, but I doubt I'm going to be too active tomorrow, or even today. Some of my family is coming over, and I must attend one of my cousins' birthday parties.
Tis the season to be grateful, 'tis the season to be kind,
And Looking nearly everywhere Abaddon I cannot find;
His bright and firery avatar no longer greets my morning,
Had I been more watchful, I would seen the warning,
But Abaddon is too thoughtful to let the trail run cold,
Or leave a story out there, a story left untold;
A postcard came from Brighton or maybe it was Kent,
Abaddon's "on holiday" for deeds of youth misspent,
But his return is purchased for a date we should remember:
Look for Abaddon again--six days into December.

There is a huge difference between poetry and rhyming verse. Haiku is as close to poetry as I get and that doesn't happen too often. As for verses, they comes easily and unexpectedly. My posts at CFC are "dotted" with them. "Spotted or stained" might be better word choices though.Similar threads
