It has been some time since I have contributed anything, however I as growing annoyed at the fact that a number of proper leaders were being left undone, so I decided to take a crack at the task myself.

Here, therefore, is my first attempt as such. It is not nearly perfect, the face is still not exactly right, and its a bit sharp, but perhaps someone else can polish it up where I cannot.

Thanks to Ekmek for his tutorial and for his General Lee (from which I took the beard), and thanks to The Capo for his Stambolov from which I started.

Yeah, the mouth is one thing, I think I covered it on purpose but I don't recall now.

Learning by doing is my motto, as you said, the problem here is that I am not exactly sure what I can do to make it look better. Obviously something can be done, but what has me stumped. The edges really need to be softened but I am not sure how to go about that.

I guess practice would just do it, but unfortunately I don't have a whole lot of time.

Nice first try GeneralMatt! :goodjob:

I will say that the sculpting/face is really good, it looks a lot like him, the only issues you really seem to have, at least from my perspective, is some of the sizing in certain areas (his head/neck seems to small for the size of his body) and texturing (which I am terrible at myself). But this shows a lot of promise, if I were you I would work on a couple more LHs and come back to this one because it shows a lot of promise.

EDIT: I also love the background.
