GGF1: Incas

Do we have navigation? If so, we shold build Magellan's, if not, let's get it! Go right for it, we need Magellan's to be able to compete with people like England, and the Dutch. Also, can we reach England? They should fall after the Mayans, so that they don't have a chance to get Man-O-War, as they can be really annoying when trying to launch a sea invasion (high attack and bombard, coupled with enslave).

o man gogf, you must not read our posts :D You should have read earlier that we have already BUILT magellans AND copernicus (but we need to start SMITHS now) and the Netherlands are no longer a power (vikings basically destroyed them) I'm not sure if we can reach english, but we get magnetism in only a few turns so no big issue there.

IMPORTANT: Mitsho is gone until sunday (i thought he already posted that?) and so I hate to say it but we need to skip him unless he gets back sooner than expected.
 
Okay, Hakon, on to you. I thought someone had built Magellan's, I thought it was here, but I just wanted to make sure. Dutch was a typo, I meant Vikings sorry.

@Hakon you can't be too sure if there are any other civs or not, since the respawn ai option could be on or the properties changed to make more ai players. It doesn't matter though, from the looks of it vikings haven't put cities there so it must be empty space.
 
well then that settles it, there is no land in the south east of mini map

Extended 3 hours a bit, sorry :)

Inherited turn (980 AD): It appears that certain cities produce wealth. I change these. Try to get the Maya p***ed off, but can only get them to furious - they won't declare war (understandably!). The Dutch aren't quite dead yet, but they've only got 1 city.

IBT: Barca bank -> Smiths. I removed some entertainers, so We love the Sapa-Inca day is off.

Turn 1 (990 AD): Workers, workers everywhere! And not a job to take!

IBT: Persepolis riots. *spanks self*
Tiwanaku bank -> uni.
Arequipa bank -> mp.

Turn 2 (1000 AD): Movement of units into Mayan territory (naval only)

IBT: The Mayans say that our invasion constitutes a declaration of war. We say "Yup, wanna argue with these swords here?" and declare war.
Cuzco bank -> uni.
Seville bank -> med inf (was about to build aqueduct until i realised the cost).
Toledo bank -> med inf
Vilcabamba bank -> med inf.

Turn 3 (1010 AD): Unload 5 crusaders, 3 med inf, 1 elite swordsman, 3 trebuchets near Copán.

IBT: Diversionary force wiped out. One crusader lost.

Turn 4 (1020 AD): 2 Trebuchets takes 2 HP off a Javelin Thrower defending a Longbowman.
Crusader kills JT 2-0.
Crusader kills Longbowman 4-1. All near Copán.
In Lagartero: Med Inf kills spearman 3-3.

Battle of Lagartero:

Vet med inf (2) is killed by longbowman 2-2.
Risk a vet med inf and win 1-0 against the longbowman.

Fortify the workers cos I can't be bothered. Please note that the stacks of workers are fortified

Turn 6 (1040 AD): 3 Trebuchets take 2 HP off a elite spearman in Copan.
Crusader kills elite spearmen (3) 3-1 and conquer Copan! 5 resistors though :(

IBT: Crusader kills attacking longbowmen in Copan. Med inf is killed near Copan. One med inf is killed in Lagartero. 3 resistors quelled in Copan. Toledo, Madrid, Tiwanaku riots. 1 resistor quelled in Lagartero

Turn 7 (1050 AD): Battle near Copán:

Santiago bank -> med inf.
1 resistor quelled in Lagartero. Roads destroyed to the horse in Quiruguá.

Turn 9 (1070 AD): Move units.

IBT: Metallurgy -> Military Tradition.
Persepolis temple -> med inf.
Resistance in Lagartero has ended.

Turn 10 (1080 AD): Move units. Kill a longbowman.
Do note that some units are on go to. These are either sent to pick up others or to unload or to be picked up.

End notes: I guess the war is going OK - we could benefit from more units from the former Spanish land, which will come soon. Please keep producing units - maybe starve the Mayan cities down to 6 so we get the support bonus.

Do not build aqueducts.

Somebody else could perhaps take the time to author another attack plan - war isn't my strong point.

Mayas are in democracy, so ought to be suing for peace pretty quickly with their huge cities...

Great job Hakon! I know we only got a few cities, but it was a good fight, and we should win the war in a few turns :). Aaminion00: Keep bringing in units. We'll win the war, but you have to keep bringing them in. Unless we have a terrible loss, and they are about to take back captured cities, don't accept peace. We should be able to kill thme before war warriness, while they should get it quickly (democracy).
 
Oops. War weariness level 1 has kicked in, btw.
 
not bad hakon, but some thoughts on what to do next (being the team's unofficial military advisor :D )

1. conquer the smaller island first, keep 1-2 regular units in each of those cities so we can send ALL of our units to Maya.

2. BUILD MORE TREBUCHETS!!!!! send about 4-6 more (guarded of course) to maya and attack Palenque after some barrages.

3. Keep repeating the attack from Tikal, to Bonampak, to Yaxchilian, than final chichen itza.

4. remember, take ur trebs EVERYWHERE and keep them guarded by at LEAST 3 units... Once you get to chichen itza don't forget to siege it for a few rounds (3 or 4 could be enough)
