Giant Earth Map - Version 4

Sorry I guess I got a little excited!
But I have a Dell Latitude D620 with more than enough ram and harddisck space.
Now I installed the mod just like you said in your instructions and everything was fine.
Next I go to "play a scenario" and press on GEM and the computer process...
...Here is where the crash happens once it has finished processing it comes to the leader select menu and then crashes leaving me with this message-
"Runtime Error!

Program:...er's Civilization 4\Beyond the Sword\Civ4BeyondSword.exe


This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information."
Now all other mods and scenarios are running fine and do not give me this message when I load them only GEM.
Do I not have enough RAM am I missing components or what I am very eager to start this game!
I hope I've clarrified my problem if not tell me oh and thank very much for your time and help

Have you loaded the mod first? When you select the map to start, have you seen the text 'Giant Earth Map' at the top right hand corner of the screen?

And to Genghis Kai Yes it dos so is logandevil right do I need to get the update??

everything is alright, i downloaded the mod i got it loaded its say giant earth map in top right but when i go to play scnario i cant find it??? whats wrong

I am running warlords and its patched up to 2.1.3(latest patch). I have the mod loaded and I go to "Play a scenerio", start up as the Romans. Soon as i go to build my first city, the game crashes everytime. Am i doing anything wrong ?

**edit Nevermind, i had warlords version 2.1.3 and i had to downgrade it to version 2.0.8 and now it works great... love the map btw

Hi, i've just downloaded it, and I do all you say in your readme file, but the game crashes and I got an runtime error message. I have BtS 3.13 but it doesnt work

OK. For anyone who have already patch 3.13 BTS and got GEM mod loaded but can't see the map, check this:

open the file Giant Earth Map\PublicMaps\GiantEarthMap v4.08.CivBeyondSwordWBSave in wordPad.
Check in line 7: ModPath=
It should be blank after the = sign. if it has anything, delete it.

Thats the only thing i could think of.

Yes. It should. But it is always problematic when playing MP with mod.

Im running on Vista 32, with 2Gb ram, 2.8 Duo Core, with BTS 3.13 Patch.

The mod loads but then crashes at the leader selection screen.

One thing:
I think you should add Horses in Carthage's BFC, as they are needed for the UU. The only horse resource currently in North Africa are in Thebe's BFC.

There should be one horse in Morocco area (as indicated in my spreadsheet). I might have accidentally deleted when I change the landscape around there. I will check that tonight. Thanks for reporting.

I am playing the map myself lately. As usual for any major updates, there is always need to made adjustments after released. I've realized there are some civilizations have rather bad starting location. I am considering making some adjustments to those civs. If you have any comments, please let me know.

The civs I think that really needs some help are:
Maya, Inca, Arabia and Mongol

The civs that are relatively poor:
Aztec, India, Germany, Hungary

It can never be truly balanced. But I shall try to make the differences lesser.

Oh btw, are you using English version or other languages? But I don't think that matters anyway.
