Gifted Civ VII standard; is there a way to upgrade it on Steam?

Hi all,

For Christmas, my son gifted me a standard version (via Steam) of Civ VII for its February release (clearly, I raised him well!).

It's currently "In my library" on steam but of course, not accessible yet.

Is there a way on Steam to upgrade the purchase to Founders edition? I'd pay the difference in cost. It's not obvious on Steam how to do so.

This is probably more of a Steam question but perhaps someone here has run across something similar.

If there's not now, there should be after release. I've seen a lot of games recently wait to release "upgrade" versions until after the game is out; I'm not sure why.

In this thread there is listed a Deluxe/Founder upgrade as an option until late february, so I assume the answer is yes.

Ah perfect yes thx! Looks like I'll need to wait until release date to leverage this.
