"Girly" Games.

They certainly appeal to girls a lot more than some other games. The Sims probably has a significant (like 20-30% ?) population of girl players. WoW probably has a minimum of 10% girls, which is a lot considering.

In terms of percentages, WoW probably has a little more than most games, but given the sheer number of people playing it seems alot higher. Some of the females I've encountered have often started playing with their boyfriends/husbands, others you wouldn't be able to tell them apart from your average gamer, right up until you hear them on vent.

If you ask me, the only fun thing in the Sims is killing everyone off.

It's also fun to make them wet their pants by not letting them use the bathroom.

Nope!

No never. My sisters did play these Barbie games on the computer some adventure and horse riding stuff. I hated it because it cut into my Civ time so I would uninstall it every time I used the computer so they gave up playing it eventually.

Well I couldn't let them pollute the computer with that nonsense could I? How does one excel at being a sibiling as opposed to sucking at it?

Anyway it didn't matter we all got our own laptops shortly after. Possibly because of that. ;)

WoW is got to be the most soul sucking game in the world. And there are only three opinions regarding the game. Its awesome to pee breaks, meals and sleep is sacrificed, Its sucks crap and I hated it at first, played it and now am playing it everyday.

Its a disease! A sick sick disease! Shoot the whole damn lot before they infect other people!

Yesterday I was in a computer store to look at something, and they had all the PC games shoved onto three tiny shelves in the corner, and one of the shelves was dedicated to WoW.

Also the computers had WoW screenshots on them.

My local EBgames store recently annihilated its wall of PC games and replaced it with more console games of various types. The PC games are now shoved haphazardly into one ugly steel basket that looks like a shopping cart. You can still get PC games from them when they come out, I mean, they'll get their own copies of the new games of course, and advertise them.

It's sad to say, but right now, Wal-Mart right next door has a bigger selection of PC games on display.

It's fun to kill people off in games, except when that's the intent.

Where I live, there's not much selection anymore. Either really little kiddy games (Sesame Street), casual games, or console. and I don't want a console.

So much for the non-violent gamer :p

Although yeah when it's not a killing game and you can kill off people, it can be quite fun.

I nominate all the Sims series as Girly Game Ghetto.
