I'd probably just say hi. Unless he's Sid Meier, I'm wondering how many people actually know what someone from Firaxis looks like.

I'd buy him a drink, but, if I could get away with buying drinks underage, I'd be buying myself some, not wasting it on some stranger

It all depends.

If it was a bar in the US, I'd be underage... but here in Montreal the legal age is 18 (or 12 if you go to the right place). I'd buy him as many drinks as it takes before he tells me all his secrets.

If I was in the states I'd probably just get really excited and make a lot of noise (that's what Americans generally do, isn't it?).

This isn't as far-fetched as it seems. Pretty much every game developer I know has a few company logo shirts.
