I have just had time to investigate this Multiplayer Robot business (thank you Onan for bringing it to my attention). It looks very interesting. The Cookie Monster (dat would be me) would be quite interested in getting into any kind of game. Any map, any number of players, DLC-enabled preferred.

Is there any interest in another game starting up?

Until next time, this Alistair Cookie saying good night, from Monsterpiece Theater.

Yeah me too :)

I'm in if it's G&K. And you're welcome, thought you'd like that.

Maybe we can have 9 players and get randomly assigned 9 new civs to play

Ok, bear with me as I figure out how to do this.
I've dragged everyone's names (Steam names) to the "Invite" box for a new private game. Presumably you should now all get an Invite then?

Sorry Onan, probably I won't be getting G&K right away, so it will have to be original for now.

I do have all DLC (Civs and Ancient Wonders) and would love to use them. I always play a Random Civ myself. Does the GMR interface do Random, or do I have to "randomize" manually?

GMR will do the random.

I hope this picture will help you do the turn order thing, which can save some time waiting for players to submit their time zones then do the planning as in other threads.

Hmn, since these games can take like a year, I'll catch you on the next one. I don't want to have too many games running. Have fun!

you have to set up the game manually when you start it, so random manual. dlc is fine w/me, if memory serves, I have denmark, inca, spain, korea, babylon, mongolia (obviously), but not wonders pack

Foffaren: Not too late: invite sent.

Onan: Sure; I'll check in with you when I get the expansion, which will probably be sometime in August.

EEE: How should I be interpreting that picture? I would presume that's the turn order for other games you are in.

So right now, just waiting on Tabarnak and Foffaren to confirm invite. That will make 6, which is a good number I think. I'll start as soon as that happens.

@ Alistair: yes, usual players. Their avatars can be used to arrange turn order, so the game goes on around earth smoothly. Some usual pattern is, for example, Foffaran-->Tarbarnak-->KYP-->EEE-->Banman. (I just realize I did the turn order). And which time zone are you in?

Is there anyway to change where I (the host) am? I seem to be stuck at the start of the turn order.

My time zone is Saskatchewan, Canada. Which is in fact its own time zone. ; > But currently GMT -6.

EEE, any reason you have Banman at the end of that list? I would've thought it would make more sense to cluster the North Americans. Unless that is someone tends to play their Civ at an unusual hour...?

If everyone had 9-5 jobs (I never got that. Who works at those weird hours anyway. I work 8-4) then yes, it would be perfect to just go around the earth. Some of us do play at unusual times though. Think I remember Tab playing in the canadian mornings, right?

I know that I'm usually before Australian players cause I dont think there is many of us between eu time and aussie time.

Note that some of the games in E's pic is public games and not optimized for time.

Alister-->Banman-->Tarbanak-->Foffaran-->KYP-->EEE

Should be correct now

Starting from GMT most - to most +

I don't know, but he arranged himself after these players in his game.

By the way, all settings are fine to me, except I vote quick speed
