After the media scramble following the announcement by the Russian government, the President, John Freedman took a day off from the media, allowing his aides and his vice president, Ronald Reagan, to handle the media for a day. He rested, and then he went to play poker as planned for the New Year....
As he was resting, "recovering from the stress of the negociations", Ronald Reagan stood infront of the Cameras, the lights, and the reporters filling in for the wayward president. How the flake got to be nominated, and elected, is anyone's guess. In anycase, Reagan was filling in for the President, about to use a speech that he wrote himself. "My fellow Americans," he began, "today America has won a great victory, and gained honor without war! We have proven to the Russians through diplomacy, through words, not by the blade, that we are too be trusted, that what we asked for ten long years was just!"
Reagan paused for dramatic effect before continueing, the reporters furiously trying to jot down his speech word for word. "My fellow Americans, we have proven ourselves this day as peace makers, dedicated to the peace, prosperity, and health of all people, be they Russian, American, Asian, European or African! The Republican party has proven this day, that at times the pen is truly mightly than the sword, for today, one stroke of the pen has returned Alaska to us, and we are free militarly! Without force, without death, without pain, we have gained all we wished back, and gained a friendship with a former enemy! We have trimuphed gloriously this day, and no amount of hard lined force could have won that for us."
Reagan paused for appaluse, enjoying the feeling of all eyes being on him. This is what he lived for, making people happy, making America strong and prosperous. That and his family. "In short, America has regained Alaska, and is once more allowed to do as its pleases, however arrogant that sounds, it is true. We have become what we were before the war, and, it is solemn victory. We must remember those that died, on both sides, if we are to remember this day, this achievement, fully. I ask that America has a moment of silence, to remember those that were lost over 10 years ago." Reagan went silent as he bowed his head, and the room's only sounds were the buzz of the lights, and the nervous shuffling of the gathered men and women in the conferance. All across America, except for those places not listening or watching the conferance, went silent. For a full minute, America remembered, and thanked those that fought for freedom, for the ideal of America.
After the solemn minute passed, Reagan once again raised his head, and smiled a sad solemn smile. "Thank you." There was a moment of stillness, before the live broadcast ended, and reporters swarmed the stage in an attempt to ask numerous unanswered questions of the Vice President. But he just smiled and said no comment as he walked out of the conferance room to somewhere else in the Whitehouse.

AMERICA DECLARE's WAR ON MEXICO!
In a surprise move, the President has went to Congress to ask for a declaration of War against Mexico for reasons of genocide. Giving congress a secret report detailing the genocide from the CIA, a report from the PRCA, and Amesty International, there has been an overwhelming landslide of the request, with only around 20 members in all who voted against the bill, all democrats.
The resolution passed, and America has offically declared War upon Mexico for the purpose of ending the genocide of the Amerindians, and bringing those responsible to justice for warcrimes. Vice President Reagan, speaking on behalf of the President as the Commander-in-Chief attends a meeting with the generals on the upcoming war with Mexico, had this to say on the matter, "As we marched against the Nazi's and their genocide over 20 years ago, so too will America march to end all genocide of peoples everywhere."
The genocide of the Amerindians, reported by Amesty international, is said to be conducted in Hilter-esque concentration camps. The horrible condiations which they no doubt live, is a testment to the actions which our government must take. The Russian represtative had to say this on the matter, "We saddened by the American's desicision to use force so soon after the trimuph through diplomacy that we have only just achieved."
While the government did condede that it too wished to use diplomacy, the very fact that the Communist government has been conducting a genocide on their own people cannot be ignored, and the government must be brought to justice. Even if the government stopped their genocide, it does not wash away the blood of those that have already died, thus the descision of our government, says Government representative Ashely Smith from the Department of National Defense.
With the release of the Amesty Internation reports to the public by the government, many Church, political, and town leaders are calling for the Government to call more men to fight to defeat the Mexican's to stop this horrible crime.
