To God
From USA

Sorry God, but it would be "Thee" in that case, using ye Olde' English, not thy.

God is angry at the USA for being such a whining nitpicker.

God is cross with China for complaining about some non-existant profanity.

*shakes head* Mods these days...

OOC - probably should edit out that Quote, Feanor, it apparently offended somebody.

Democracy at work!

The newly elected Prime Minister of the Commonwealth Union 'the outer states' are rumored to have carried a heavy hand in her election in the CU Prime. The President herself has vehemently denies such brandings and labels as 'colonies', 'core areas' within the Union and is known to be a hardline believer in the unification of nations theory.

Supranationalism! *televised speech to all Union states*
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supranationalism

Education - Justice - Prosperity

"My fellow human beings! We live in an age of ideology where the battles of mankind are decided in the hearts and minds of people long before they are fought out at Parliament or on the battlefield."

"Recently there has been a dispute over the intent and policies of the Union. El Goober Baradei himself has made the comment that the age of colonialism is over and the CU needs to condition itself for the time when we will have to let go. I wish to dispell these beliefs not that the Union is a benevolent colonizer but that our nature is fundamentally different."

"In the eigteenth and ninteenth century European countries set forth to conquer Africa and by their own words 'civilize it'. Nations such as New Zealand and the United States of America were spawned from this effort, whilst countless mainland nations on Africa were subdued and underlaid countries like England, France, Russia, Germany. While noone would argue the fact that this has laid the basis of our cultural heritage the fact is English and French soldiers destroyed ancient civilizations and societies on their way to glory and riches."

"I'll argue that in this modern era there is no doubt, no conviction that what the western nations did in the cradle of humanity was no less then the rape of an entire continent. The obscenities that came to be were motivated out of desire of profit. Millions of slaves were exported to America. Even in these days Africa suffers and bleeds from the injustices performed upon her so long ago and the traumas have remained within the Afroamerican heritage in the USA. Legends and mythos traverse the more superstitous parts of Africa, telling the misdeeds of the white man and that our attempts to stop the AIDS epidemic is nothing but an attempt to limit their populational growth."

"I would argue that the actions of the Union have been different from the root."

"The Union is transformed. We are not a nation but an organization that advocated the coming age of supra-nationalism. This movement will ascend the individual provinciality and nationality of all member states in the interests of the weak."

"Our society was founded in the Year of 1966, no less then 15 years ago in a time of anarchy our soldiers came to the lands of Guinea-Bissau, Gambia and Qatar and established order. With order came prosperity, immense economic investment by New Zealand and an increased efficiency. The yearly economic growth of the land under our control was at 200% through a five-year period. In 1968 all three original then 'colonies' voted to become a part of the Union."

"This year was the date of attack by the then fascist forces of India that came and murdered 40% of the native population of Qatar. Through our leadership the UIA was created to avert any likely future events and APETO was rallied to oust the fascists from the Arabian Peninsula."

"In 1967 the process was copied in Jordan and in 1969 we regretteably disposed of a cruel dictator of Madagascar through violent means."

"The history of the Union has been one of law, order, peace and stability. With the exception of the alliance against the fascist forces of India, the defence against the Africa Union in 1970 and the aquisition of Madagascar not a shot has been fired. The relative percentage of the world GNP New Zealand makes out has fallen by almost 75% and despite atrocious economic setbacks the misery in Africa has been partially countered. The most serious problem the Union faces in Africa today is that of governmental corruption."

"It is clear that the history of the Union has been fundamentally different as our actions do not even come close to the likeness of the British, the most benevolent modern power to disassemble an empire."

"Colonialism is about taking advantage of the ones unfortunate to find themselves not as well armed."

"Ours is a history of cooperation and mutual gain, that of ascending nationalism to work with one another in a greater fellowship. My mother once told me that the country we live in is in the likeness of building the Tower of Babel. We hope to achieve something that through all history has been deigned unachievable for humanity. We wish to prosper together in unity and care for those of us whom are weak. Through the strength of many we will be more secure from the dangers that prey in the darkness against the unwary. Would the Union fall then Gambia and Guinea-Bissau will become a part of a neighboring dictatorship, Madagascar would fall under the control of the AF and Qatar would become part of either a Fundamentalist Theocracy or India. None of them will be prosperous as they will become under the Union."

"We are the Union and we are the dream of mankind. If we can prove to the world that it is possible to achieve more then mere slaughter... we may become the people."

"Does Brazil truly intend to massacre millions of our citizens Sir Gelionov?"
"It used to be our belief that perhaps the Union may be the best of trading partners with Brazil, if only she would let us. We have been disillusioned with time however, but perhaps time will show different threads and we may reap the profits of cooperation together."
- M. Whimly

Guys I must ask you to delete all the extra contestants or I will not let you participate :( (Feanor and JS)....

(Gelion, I believe JS was going to have a contest within the USE first.)

Following the events of her introductionary speech, Prime Minister Whimly took office in less then a week. Her first action was to fill the positions of her government with capable politicians from her party.

Cabinet as chosen by Miho Whimly (see bottom of post)

----------
The first three reforms as they were proposed by Miho Whimly as of January the 16'th 1981.

1) A movement for 'The States of the Commonwealth Union' to change it's cumbersome and unfitting name to the 'Union of the Greater Good' to be known as the UGG.

2) A movement for the 'Constitutional Democracy' headed by the long-diseased or disposed of members of the British Royal Family be replaced with a 'Constiutional Presidential Democracy' where the President is granted only nominally more power than a figurhead regent mainly for the purposes of charity and unilateral trade.

3) A movement to launch investigations to clarify the spending of two thirds of the Net Product of Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Madagascar and Qatar on unknown investments and to set up a monitoring agency for the financial and military ministries of New Zealand, Gambia, Qatar, Guinea-Bissau and Madagascar.

PS. And in other news today the Union would like to remind Jordan about our gift that they calculated within the next 5 years will cash in 10 eco. per round on that they gift us just 1 eco. to help us finish some installments that have to be made.

Union of the Greater Good :shakehead :suicide:

It was meant to be simply 'the Union' but I thought it a present reminder unto the politicians that we be reminded daily who we are, who we are meant to be, and what we must never stray from.

For all the greatness and strutting of the international community it is the soon to be known-as UGG that has the astoundingly clear record of power, peace and prosperity in one. Less pretentious names like India, the African Federation, the Union of Islamic States, the United States of Europe, Russia and Germany have all started wars of agression in which millions of the common man have been forced to pay with their lives.

Perhaps it is because they forgot who they truly serve... the people.
Their names told them that they served but the interests of their own people.

-------------------------------------

To the Regional Beurocrats and elected state assemblies based in Guinea-Bissau, Gambia, Madagascar and Qatar

Since last year 20 eco. has been spent through the hands of regional beurocrats and legislatives. There is no paperwork in Wellington to trace this intermediately large sum of money earmarked for the reperation of various state economies after the ravaging seventies. Suspicions of corruption have arisen though we have no doubt that your hearts and souls be honest and pure. There is good incentive in Wellington to terminate the privilege of redistributive funds and reorganize for a centralized financial monitoring last seen at the end of the sixties. This will mean that locally elected politicians and beurocrats will still be responsible for upgrading their economies but under the watchful eyes of the UGG to avert the ill-effects of wayward funding.

Since the introduction of the 'two-thirds' system economical recovery has fallen to 30% yearly growth, in comparison to the 200% if all funds were to be spent on economic growth. Had the new system not been in place the economies of these four states would be very close to fully recovered.
Something is wrong in the financial ministries when money disappears withotu trace and we aim to get at the bottom of it.

If the UGG is to live up to her standards of Supranationalistic Humaniterianism then we can not allow corruption to run rampant in our society.

[OOC!: Goober, I spent 5% of the mega-update (that'll be half a year) just upgrading the colonial education in the image of the Union. Could I have some of that mojo for the charm offensive? I mean, we are the good guys and we DID spend a lot of money to let them know it. I'm not counting the propaganda and stability money... although I can understand why the stab. money was lost.]

Kiwi Warfare International announces that sales will open on our fortress weapon technology this semester.

I thought this was a NES not some excuse to post pictures of semi-naked women?

There's plenty of that stuff elsewhere on the internet... :groucho:

Diplo. to States

Open-source state budget to prove that the CU is better off together in a cohesive unit.

To further the ends of our ultimate goal - to reestablish economic growth of immense proportions in the CU/UGG the CU/UGG ministry of Economic has decided to make our yearly budget open-source.

Send 2.000 of our Barneys to our African and Asian states each and the remaining 2000 to a poor country decided by the MCO.

Send teachers to Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Madagascar and Qatar to improve their education and write educational books in their language to teach them how to write and read and understand the society we live in (the Union).

Pool together all our available money... to a total of 42 eco. (still 12 less then before the update *sigh*) I don't care if some local power-hungry beurocrats are trying to sabotage the economy. They shall get no further... And spend it on Project A (13), New Zealand (17 = 30), Gambia, Guinea-Bissau (8 = 38) and stability for Qatar and Madagascar (4 = 42).
If the twenty eco. missing are found then invest it into the stabilities of Gambia, Guinea-Bissau and (four eco.) then another ten eco. into their economies and the last six eco. to Guinea-Bissau again. That would actually get us to a 5-6-6-6 state economies with all of them at above normal stability + whatever education we can wrangle out of the Barneys and etc.

It seems clear to the government that best and natural choice is to choose to follow the orders of the best government they have ever had (excluding perhaps the gold age of the West African societies) that is looking out for their own good. If it hadn't been for that horrible, horrible decade where all the investors fled because we were a heavily militarized nation, Jordan leaving like a spoiled brat then all four places and New Zealand will have Powerhouse economies with 200 education, Amazing Stability and colonies on Pluto in like three decades.
It makes sense.
Who else would give them money?

And it's not to make a profit!

Transfer 20.000 soldiers to Gambia, Guinea-Bissau and Qatar from the CU.
