February 1st
The Ban on Comunist Parties, the ANC and PAC is lifted, they too may take part of the election
February 4th
The major Politicals parties and their repersentaties are announced!
ANC -
Nelson Mandela
The African National Congress is by far the largest anti apartheid party in southern Africa, they fought for years the apartheid regime with protest and other peaceful means and rarely resorted to violence and in those rare cases they limited it to sabotage of Military or Semi-Military installations. The masses of black and some white activists are expected to vote for them.
PAC -
Robert Mangaliso Sobukwe
The Pan Africanist Congress was founded by the more violent members of the ANC, seeing that the ANC would never resort to the violence they intended they broke off the ANC and formed the PAC, their tactics could be called Terrorist at the very list though due to the lifting of the ban on then they may take part of the elections. Large support from the rebelled areas is expected for them.
SACP -
Joe Slovo
The South African Comunist Party has been a long time friend and ally of the ANC, thoug their ideas have greatly affected (or infected

) the ANCs ideals the SACP totally failed to keep his ideology alive after the communist ban was emplaced.
PFP -
Helen Suzman
The Progressive Federal Party has been for over a decade the only legal political force to openly oppose apartheid, with very little success , though with the recent loss of confidence in the National Party and the large ammont of new European immigrants she might become a force to be reckoned with.
NNP -
Balthazar Johannes Vorster
The New National Party is the offspring of the former ruling National Party, in an attempt to salvage something from this situation they added the word New in front of their name and elected a new chairman, they are expected to get very little support, perhaps even less than the communists.
February 17th
Tension risk to escalate as PAC supporters assault several NNP supporters who were spreading campaign flyers in central Johannesburg, short later hundreds of supporters of each side gather in a standoff in one of the central plazas of the city, and as people start to wave guns the worst seems inevitable, but the timely arrival of ANC leader Nelson Mandela and PFP leader Helen Suzman prevents the worse, with great oratory skills they manage to calm the crowds and send them home without bloodshed.
February 18th
Most newspapers headlines draw Nelson Mandela and Helen Suzman as heroes, the story varies with each newspaper, some are close to the truth and some are complete nonsense.
The Johanesburg Herald Reports:
As thousands of Rebel and Military forces prepared to fight in the middle of Johannesburg Helen Suzman and Nelson Mandela arrived to the scene, defiantly and heroically placing themselves in the front of the 152mm cannon of an Elepanth tank who was ready to rain death upon the city they held their speech, at the end of their speech some men cried, other hugged each others as old friends found anew, black, white and coloured alike, they were all united
Most other stories are closer to the truth, thou every story basically says one thing, Nelson Mandela and Helen Suzman are the heroes of the Day. Gaining them much support.
February 28th

South African Express
Exclusive Interview with Nelson Mandela
R: Mr. Mandela, what will happen now? You have not achieved a clear majority, will we have to vote again or will a coalition be formed?
M: The voting results show us clearly how Africa is divided, it might be best that no party as achieved a slight majority, now we will have to form a coalition with an other party, and by that the government will be able to represent a larger number of his people.
R: Many people, especially your opponents, cry out for the alleged irregularities in the voting and unfair short campaign time for some parties. For example the South African Communist Party, has barely received any vote from outside of South Africa, that for the simple fact that no one has a clue of who they are Outside of south Africa.
M: We agree that the campaign time was rather short but it was the same for os all, the ANCs advantage is that we have continued our work underground, risking our lives instead that, like the SACP, just let ourselves been exiled or shut down by the Apartheid Regime.
The African people needed this to be over as quickly as possible so that the long process of healing and reconciliation can begin.
R: Mr. Mandela, you made it clear during your campaign that you despise the PACs violent racial ideals as much as you despised the Apartheid Regime and that you think that the New National Party is pretty much old junk in a new box, that Leaves the Communist party and the PFP, the Communist Party is led by your friend the Moderate Communist Joe Slovo and the PFP is led by the Socialist Helen Suzan with whom you also share a good friendship, with whom will you side?
M: Well as you said it I think that the PACs ideals are no better than apartheid with the worlds white and black swapped, that is the last thing that we need in Africa, the New National Party completely failed to impress anyone except some of their most die hard supporters, the Communist Party is slightly too radical for our taste too, while we full heartedly agree that socialist reforms are needed to raise the living standards of the Africans we fear that a change to communism would lead to disaster.
The PFP on the other hand is , like us, only moderately socialist and has a very large support base, a coalition with between us would not please just the slight majority of the nation but almost a 3/4 part of the population would be represented by whom they chose, their proposal of Federalism is something we are seriously taking in account and the fact that we represent all groups of citizens will greatly help with the necessary healing and reconciliation we need to make.
March 5th
Coalition Announced! as widely expected the ANC and the PFP formed a coalition, their socialist policies are most likely to be supported by SACP and therefore the Coalition government has no strong opposition forces to oppose them. A new era of prosperity is expected.
March 7th
President Nelson Mandela and Prime Minister Helen Suzdal sworn in office.
With much fanfare and celebrations the crowd cheered for the newly elected president as he prepared to make his speech.
A summary of the long Presidential Speech:
People of Africa, a dark time for us has ended! *a minute long hear deafening cheer erupts*
But do not just think that our struggle has ended, our struggle is one that will never end, our struggle is the struggle for freedom! *a shorter cheer than last erupts*
And while we of the South of Africa have achieved freedom many of our Brothers and Sister are still being oppressed every day.
Some oppress them in the name of a religion, some in the name of a political ideology and others just to hold power, that is not acceptable! We will not stand idle and allow our brothers to be oppressed any longer! South Africa Makes a stand!
To all dictators we say, change your evil ways or we will change them for you! Democracy for Africa! Freedom for our People!
