New Order in Russia
Chapter 5: Counter-Revolution with no Revolution
Admiral Kuznetsov
But let us cross the Red Square from the Kremlin and go to the office of Sedov, where Sedov, Balkhovsky, and Kosygin were in a state of Panic.
"Are you sure?" - Sedov still could not believe it
"Positive, Malenkov and Andropov want to get rid of the Czar" - Balkhovsky was in no state to do anything but shake uncontrollably.
"Alexei Nokolayevich, ideas?" - Sedov seemed lost too
"Phone" - Kosygin was the only one calm and collected in the room.
"What?"
"I need a phone!" - his tone showed that he was on edge just like everyone else.
What happened next could have led to the worst mistake in Russian History. Kosygin phoned Kuznetsov and explained the situation. Together the 4 of them formed the "Counter-Revolutionary Committee" and Kuznetsov gave the order for his fleet to leave port, and go on full alert. He then phoned the CPCER headquarters and announced that his submarines will begin bombardment of Moscow unless CPCER stops the revolution. As expected nobody in CPCER knew of Andropov's plans and panic ensued. CPCER announced a state of emergency in Russia and military aviation was called into the air. Bulganin was informed of what is going on and he ordered a state of emergency in the Coalition and prepared to use Chinese and Eastern European forces to put down the revolt.
Chapter 6: Another Counter Revolution
Marshall Zhukov
While that panic slowly ensued in most of the country let us go back to the isolated Kremlin where Brezhnev was stumbling through the corridors and just met Zhukov. He had just finished explaining to the Marshall what has happened when Andropov and Malenkov appeared from the Czar's cabinet, and thinking the worst - that they have killed the Czar - Zhukov acted
"You bastards!" - the Marshall rushed towards the two communists and with a punch brought down Malenkov. Andropov, who served in the KGB, proved to be tougher and the two old soldiers started rolling on the floor.
"Get him, get him!" - Brezhnev stayed out of it, only kicking Malenkov when he tried to get up.
"Murderer!" - roared Zhukov
Andropov tried to talk but couldn't get any words out.
"We'll crush your little revolution" - that was Brezhnev cheering Zhukov on.
Chernenko walked in, returning from his mission to APETO.
"aa..aa...what?" - not every day do you see two of the highest ranked military officials in Russia wrestling on the floor next to the Czar's office. -
"Yuri Vladimirovich, whats going on?"
"Ah! You are with them!" - Brezhnev finally got enough will power and knocked Chernenko to the floor. -
"I'll show you!"
For the next 20 minutes 'counter-revolutionary activities' continued in the hall with all involved beating each other, not minding anymore who was who.
Chapter 7: The Counter-Counter-Revolution
The Kremlin
The brawl in the hall was ended abruptly by automatic gun shots. All stopped and looked up at the Czar and his two bodyguards.
"Enough" - Mikhail was calm and collected as usual. -
"Idiots. The next revolution you start better end up as something better than a brawl in my hall."
The communists and the monarchists both got up and now stood there, ashamed of what just happened.
"The Communists are planning to overthrow me, the Monarchists are picking a fist fight with them next to my office and the Intellectuals together with the navy are getting ready to bomb Moscow."
The intellectuals have just walked in. Mikhail already talked to Kuznetsov and Sedov on the phone.
"I have just signed documents changing our government extensivley. The Soviet government structure is disbanded. Instead we will have an Authoritarian Monarchy. I am the Czar and thus the head of state. I make desisions and they are carried out, simple?
The Supreme Soviet is disbanded, we will have an elective body called the Duma whos puropse is to suggest laws and actions, but their desisions are not binding.
A government will be created consisting of a Premier and his cabinet. They will ensure that my desisions are carried out.
Thats it my friends. Instead of one party we now have on Czar. We will continue with Communist Economic system and most of the new government will be made up of the old Communist Government. Monarchy, Communism, and Intelligentcia can live together, and I will prove it.
Dismissed."
God save the noble Tsar!
Long may he live, in power,
In happiness,
In peace to reign!
Dread of his enemies,
Faith's sure defender,
God save the Tsar!
