GOTM 46 results & Congratulations

We're obviously being too generous with these games. Yet agan, we had people scoring in excess of 12,000 Jason, and nearly a quarter of the entrants scored over 10,000. Looks like we've lost our sinister, malicious and outright mean edge.

It was fast conquests that dominated the leaderboard this month. MiniMe took out the gold medal position triggering conquest in 320 AD. In second place was EsatP, 8 turns, but less than 100 points behind. obormot claimed third place, and (in what must be a first) got both the cow and the fastest-conquest awards!

I am the anti-Redbad with the Lowest Diplo. I believe that this is only my 2nd 'recognition', both being Shields. I'll take what I can get, I guess.

I sure hope that they TOTALLY re-vamp the 'Jason' scoring for CivIV.

Well it's a strange world. I expected an award with the Indian game and it turned out I wasn't even close. For this game I thought the chances of getting the shield would be higher than of getting the award.

But congratz to all for yet another fun game, and especially Niklas for the achieving the rocket (and for not going diplo).

btw. the list states that Wotan got the cow.

Yeah, that's cause Wotan got the highest histograph win. Obormot got the highest Firaxis score.

And for me, as expected--shield for lowest spaceship. Tech is SO slow on small maps, ecch!

Not that I would blame you, I don't think I have a chance at those myself seeing the amazing military results in this game!

With this setup, I thought few would choose 100K. It was a fast game but felt incredibly awkward!

What?! I got the cow?! That is just impossible. I think the situation is completely different: i need to improve my milking skills as i got beaten by people with slower conquests. I thought that the cow goes to the highest firaxis base score, not the highest firaxis score , so Wotan should get the cow as the results page shows and i am happy with just the conquest award - i think that's the new record, right?

Interestingly three jag rushes get the three medals in this game: the map seemed perfectly suited for this

I think that the predator starting saves were screwed up for this GOTM, i and many other people complained that they played predator (started with no techs), but the submission system said it was open.

good job randy! you beat my domination time! I worked very hard for the 1120 domination, I was fairly happy with that but probably could have saved some time in the settling of the second island.

I wasnt able to submit this time . Anyway, congrats to all that did. Special congrats to the fast conquests and to Klarius for beeing number 1 BTW, a highest base Firaxis score for a 110 AD finish wouldnt be possible, i think. The award is for Wotan, as it is on the score list

I've corrected the Cow award, which was, of course given to Wotan and not Obormot this time around. I've also fixed the Predator submissions. Apologies for the confusion.

Thanks al_thor. Mind you I'm myself only slightly higher on the awards list than on the shield list (11 vs 13). It is only about having fun.

The Aztecs are a agressive species, so it would be fun doing something out of character. But the extra diplo has an advantage too. It puts me higher on the list, something like if my name would have begun with an "A".

But be sure, I'm still trying to get all the different awards. Only thought this wasn't the time to go military and I was to lazy for another attempt for the cow.
