Where did you settle?
Any problems so far?
Found any Zombies?

More details later, but for now, just answering the questions...

1. Settled in place on turn 1 (not zero).
2. The RNGod loves barbarians in my game. Nothing major, but a few loses which should not have happened, plus I even got hostiles from a hut. (and my total 3 huts gave me nothing of use :-( )
3. Do hostiles in a hut count.

Overall, its noble, so a win in just a matter of time. I am at 0 AD, and have 6 cities, which is enough for Oxford. I am rushing towards it, and once it is in place, I will decide on what unit to use to start taking other peoples cities. Knights or muskets are options, or maybe wait for still something later?

Settled 1NW from Warrior position, as blue circle indicated. It gave me Bronze fast, but there were no more hills, so quite hammer poor location.

Pbms, hmmm....
Nothing unusual. I found Hatty fast and decided to harass her a little. I stole Worker, pillaged Horses and her Warrior killed my Settler sent to build 4th or 5th city.
My REX sucks as usual, I don't remember exactly, but I don't think I had more than 8 cities at 1 AD.

Second city went S-SE on plain hill to grab floodplains. 3rd some E to grow on Fish. Well, I'm not even sure that it was 3rd, so I won't speculate about rest of them. I settled one city quite far away to grab Wheat and Gold, and Hatty already settled nearby. Rest of cities I built gradually due north toward this city. I captured barb city on S big island.

I went for TGL and resigned from Oracle race. Wise decision, as CoL has been oracled just few turns after I finished TGL.

I don't remember what happened before and what after AD, so the rest of the story will be in final spoiler.

Zombies? :dubious::confused::undecide:

I settled on the coast between the Pigs and Rice. My initial exploring warrior went North and I quickly discovered Hatsheput and all the Gold.

I Rexed as fast as i could in that direction but she beat me to all but one of the golds. started out as a sword rush on her and i took the Gold city and several cities she had settled in the northern part of or continent.

I managed to get to Maces just as she got Longbows and took to of her last three cities leaving her only Thebes which i have decided to take for the wonders and religions she has built for me there.

Problems: I did lose one of my first settlers to a Panther lost at least 12 turns. In my haste to beeline to Redcoats I still don't have any siege techs. I was gonna use Lib to take Rifling but left Gunpowder un-reasearched and had to take that instead and self research rifling that hurt a lot.

I am gonna attempt a domination win since no vassals in vanilla make that seem faster than conquest and i haven't won that way yet. For that i will need a navy but with 15 of my 16 cities coastal that shouldn't be to much of a problem. that ratio also makes me very pleased with the combo of Colossus and Financial i am also building lots of lighthouses.

Well, being I still have yet to finish in the top half of one of these, I figured what the heck, that's one heck of a bonus for Adventurer, so I'm giving that a whirl.

I've got 7 cities at 1 AD, with 8 and 9 coming very shortly. With all my units, discovered Hatty real quickly. She's always been nice to me, and finding just her and me and room for at least 9 cities, I had zero thoughts of doing her any harm.

Settled in place, then started planting my cities northward, to limit Hatty's possible expansion. Got the Wheat/Gold city, and 8 and 9 are going to be along the eastern coast N of there. It'll be a bit tight, but I don't mind that, as I've founded 3 religions so am now eyeing a Cultural win. I'm sensing some city flipping, later on. With everyone but Hatty remote, I quickly decided against war ideas. Had thoughts of spaceship victory, but I'm set up too well for cultural.

Built Stonehenge early, then the Great Lighthouse, which is great with all the coastal cities. And, with my victory goal, I'll probably never obsolete it.

I've met all but one opponent.....I do see another land mass near us, that I'm heading towards though, so that may soon change. Found it interesting that Napoleon started out annoyed at me, for no reason...still no Open Borders.

I literally just started thinking of the cultural win, so it may not be a great score, but it is Noble, so should be easy.

I'm not sure why I moved my settler at turn 1. My carelessness. I'm idle in the first turn. The good thing is: I have one more flood plain, maybe just condolence for my self.

The biggest problem is the difference between BTS and Vanilla.
1. No Treb, I beeline the tech and find that it just gives me a 3-movement points on the road. OK, better than none.
2. The catapult only costs 40 hammer. The more important one is that the bombarding formula is different and it even can kill the enemy units. Wow, so powerful. Cheap and powerful, it's even better than cannon in BTS
3. OK, no espionage, no AP, no vassal. Now I know the meaning of Zombi. My task is just to crush down all aliens. They are Zombis to Vicky and they have to be eliminated to purify the land. So evil.

This map might be finished by turn 175 or earlier, but I failed to do it. In the last 10 turns, I may play like a zombi. Forgive me, my lord.

Settled 1NW

Researched Agri and AH.

Founded York 1N of the corn south and prepared for a chariot rush, but by the time I found Hatze I had HA. :)
Egypt eliminated 500BC, I kept all three cities on the small peninsula on the west side of our continent.

Meanwhile I had met Toku on the eastern front and was all set to DOW with 3 galleys and 6 HA, with more to come, when I realized that in Vanilla you cannot enter an Ocean tile within enemy culture borders when at war. :wallbash:

I've founded a city on the eastern most tile trying to push back Toku culture, still don't know if I'll ever succeed. :crazyeye:

At 1AD I have 8 cities, 31 pop and a lousy economy. :mischief:

I'm about ready to DOW Cyrus. :hammer:

Huts: 3 gold, scout, warrior and 2 map, no zombies, no wonders. :p

The game:
