For those that might miss some of the bigger happenings in Civ5 or only lurk and miss some thread updates, this is just to clarify and notify GOTM players how the hotfix affects these games.
The Fall Patch created a lot of new problems that needed the hotfix that came out earlier this morning. Some of those problems were actual issues in the GOTM TSG series. The specific notes on the fixes can be found in a link on CFC's Front Page or in Civ 5's General Discussion section.
Anything that causes crashes and/or reloads is generally something that can be a problem for our submissions. Too many reloads can lead to skeptical results by the results utility. The Auto-Annex bug was one that was fairly uncontrollable while the Pathing bug was easier to account for. Other bugs had lesser relevance to GOTM. Both relevant bugs seem to be fixed and hopefully not an issue for future TSGs.
**The one bug unaddressed seems to be the Trade Renewal bug. This should not require a reload if everyone agrees to not auto-renew any trades during opponents turns and simply wait for your turn to renew them. The issue is from incorrect screen information on the available resources that led to drops in happiness which has angered players and they wanted to reload to avoid the trade. We ask that you no longer reload for this and instead never auto-renew trades during the AI's turn. You can return to them with the trade during your turn.
I hope this helps each player approach the next TSGs and what is and isn't acceptable for reloads. As always we recommend everyone set their save options to 1 turn so if a reload is necessary it is for only 1 turn and played as close to identical as possible from the previous load.
