GOTM.exe installation problem

I've installed Civ III complete but am having trouble installing the GOTM Full_Mod_exe. I'm trying to put it in the file with Firaxis/Game/Civ III file where my Civ III files are located. All I get are constant windows that say the "read me" files need to be overridden. Any help would be appreciated, I realize this may be a case of operator headspace. I have PC with Windows XP, a new Compaq Presario. Thanx!!

Why do you want to install the GOTM mod? It is not required for any current GOTM competitions.

In his opening strategies suggestions Cracker suggests downloading GOTM's he uses as training guides, and the links he suggests leads me to downloading your mod. That way, I can follow the game to more adequately absorb the suggested strategies. If you go to the link he strongly advises following along this way. Is the mod superceded by other methods? Please advise....

There's a lot of different strategies in the War Academy that do not require you to change your game installation files. Cracker had a thing about modding the GOTM like that. Later GOTMs discontinued that practice.

If you really want to follow Cracker's stuff, I would make a copy of your Civ3 folder. Call it Civ3GOTM or something like that, and then install the gotm_full_mod.exe to the second directory. Then you can have your regular Civ3 installation and also the GOTM installation to follow along with Cracker's guide.
