Hi, i've decided to join the gotm community but am having trouble downloading the right files. I'm playing from a vanilla civ3 pc. From the Gotm Korea page -

http://gotm.civfanatics.net/games/gotm24_korea.shtml

i'm able to download the add-on pack, but whenever i click on the big 18.7 mb main one, the browser simply says, page not found. Iv tried this over a couple of days, at varying times in the day. Is this a problem with the site or my computer or something else??

Thanks for any help

I got a new computer within the last week, so I too needed the full download. I waited a couple days and it still wouldn't work. I was anxious to play so I downloaded the full setup for gotm 21, then the add-ons for gotms 22, 23, and 24.

Welcome to you both, try a PM to Cracker, he'll be happy to help you with the problems you're having.

Again welcome, and by the way say goodbye to sleeping !!

Welcome Owain,

You will notice that the spoiler thread process is divided and progressive.

The sequence of spoiler threads tries to divide the game up into progressive phases where players can play their game up to where they have passed a key time point or map/technology point in the game and then look backwards and share the parts of their game that are before the key cutoff for that particular spoiler thread.

Although this spoiler process chops up the game, it has the benefit of sharing information about key time segments so that the spoiler discussion does not become just a big mumbo jumbo of racing like mad ducks to get to the end of the game and spill the beans.

Since you have already completed play, you can take a look at you game and any save files that you might have and share just that portion of the game that relates to the ancient age and just the porcess of developing contacts with your immediate neighbors in the game.

You can embellish the story of your game to be as much of an adventure/tale as you would like to portray.

When the second spoiler thread opens up you can then share the next phase of your game and engage in some more active discussion with other players to compare how your game progressed versus other examples that you may see posted.

The spoiler/discussion process in and of itself can be almost as exciting as the game. Sharing aspects of the game AFTER you have played and experienced the impact of your decisions is an integral part of the GOTM games.
