GPuzzle's Civs

Thanks! Quick last thing: soundtrack?

I play listening to my own playlists, don't hit me.
If you're talking about Leopold II. Maybe this one, by a Belgian composer.
It may be just me, but the music sound a bit... Moonlight Sonata-ish.
Kind of suit him
Spoiler :

By the way, I may need a map of Japan under Toyotomi Hideyoshi, as well as one of Ming China under the Wanli Emperor, of which I need a leaderhead.

I will do map of Ming then.
...quietly fold the plan the claim China.

Awh I already started ming, guess I can do toyotomi tho

The Kingdom of Korea

Leader: Sejong
UA: Scholars of the Golden Hall
Gain :c5goldenage: Golden Age Points from Specialists and Great Person Improvements, and +1 :c5science: Science from them during a :c5goldenage: Golden Age. Receive a :c5science: tech boost every time a Scientific Building or Wonder is constructed in the :c5capital: Capital.

UU: Hwach'a
Trebuchet replacement. Does not have a sight penalty, but does not have a bonus against Cities. In addition, it generates :c5science: Science from Kills.

UB: Seowon
Slightly more expensive than the University, which it replaces, the Seowon costs no maintenance and provides an additional Scientist specialist slot.

The Kingdom of Korea

Leader: Seonjo
UA: Disturbance of Imji
When war is declared upon you, receive a free naval unit in all coastal cities. Gain :c5culture: Culture from settling or capturing coastal cities.

UU: Turtle Ship
Considerably :c5strength: stronger than the Caravel, which it replaces, the Turtle Ship has -1 :c5moves: Movement, no extra sight, and cannot withdraw before melee. Upon being trained, the Turtle Ship generates :c5greatperson: Great Admiral points based on its Experience.

UU: Chongtong
Replacing the Cannon, the Chongtong is physically weaker but has a :c5strength: stronger ranged attack. It also gains +2 :c5moves: Movement when embarked, and has a 50% :c5strength: combat bonus against naval units.

The Empire of Japan

Leader: Toyotomi Hideyoshi

UA: Rising Sun
Winning battles grants points towards a random :c5greatperson: Great Person in the :c5capital: Capital. Upon expending a :c5greatperson: Great Person, all your Units heal and gain Experience.

UB: Tea Room
The Tea Room not require Fresh Water, unlike the Garden it replaces, and, in addition, has a :greatwork: Great Work of Writing slot that, when filled, grants Experience to newly trained units, increased if they're Land Units.

UU: Ashigaru
The Ashigaru generates Great Generals twice as fast and has an increased flank attack bonus, but is slightly weaker when compared to the Musketman it replaces.

Ming China

Leader: Wanli Emperor

UA: Celestial Army
Great Generals may be expended for a Political Treatise. Upon creating a Political Treatise or a Citadel, Unit :c5production: Production is increased for the next 10 turns.

UU: Pole Cannon
Replacing the Crossbowman, the Pole Cannon has a considerably stronger ranged attack but is unlocked later, at Gunpowder. Additionally, it gains a combat bonus on both attack and defense when in allied or enemy territory, but not your own.

UU: Jinyiwei
Unlike the Lancer, which it replaces, the Jinyiwei does not require horses and acts as a Gunpowder Unit rather than a Mounted one (less movement, gets defensive terrain penalties, may not move after attacking, etc). Additionally, it upgrades into the Rifleman and generates :c5culture: Culture based on its Experience when trained in a City with a stationed Spy.

The designs of the Imji War pack, folks. Behold.

Because the first is Sejong and I screwed up.

Isn't that the same icon that is being used for Postwar Japan?

What? Eugh, this is typical.

Didn't actually know that Japan was still using the Toyotomi seal. Doesn't seem to be many alternatives, either.

Well it may be that Postwar Japan's icon is a less detailed varient - either way I haven't heard much about LITE/OW's Japan for a while. It could be that things have changed, best to check with COF or SuperWaffle if it matters.

If there's no alternative however, there's no sense worrying :p

As the (joint) author of the Postwar Japan icon, sorry! It fits perfectly though...

I do love the suggested replacement of Hideyoshi's signature. Looks very, very cool. Good luck.

Well, if GPuzzle prefers the signature I'm happy to go for it.

I do personally like how the other two look already though :/

Gatoutak's Japan uses the Hideyoshi's signature as the icon i think
Given they're both for the same leader about the same period of japanese history with the same UU, I don't think it matters at all. No one's going to play with both at the same time.

Hrm, true. Though one way to distinguish it a bit more could probably be to place the signature within a (red?) circle, like a cutout. Similar to the inverted schemes people have used for various coat of arms up to this point.

With a gold icon and grey/brown(?) background iirc

Exit SENSHI

Silence. Ranting in pseudo-French can be heard in the distance

Enter SENSHI

SENSHI: Yeah! Let's go with that!

I'm fine with the signature.

Then it's settled! I still would've preferred the kamon, but I can't get everything :/
