Funny. This is what I just did. I sold the new graphics card I just bought and got me a 27" iMac. The i5 quad one. I do not have all settings on high, but I don't mind. It runs smoothly now and plays beautifully.
I'll update my bootcamp XP to SP3 this week and tell if it's doing anything (Now, this is kind of good reason to make my OS cleaned up...). But i do sucpect that it's once more an issue with the ATI Legacy drivers...
Oh, would be good to know which driver you use.
If the problem only occurs in the main menu, then it's probably the best possible configuration with that issue yet, and it be nice if we could tell the other people what driver version to use.
I had exactly the same problem with my Radeon X1300 Pro. Bought and installed an HD 5570 (was limited by a power supply) and the problem is gone for good.
