Yes, it is time for a new graphics card. I've had that problem. You should be able to save there, exit game and reload it up fine.

:thanx:

It's too late to buy a new one for my computer. My motherboard doesn't support any graphics card available in the market since around 2007. The requeriments of Civ4:

Windows 2000/XP/Vista
1.2 GHz Processor
256 MB RAM
1.7 GB free space
4x DVD Drive
DirectX 9.0c –compatible 64 MB video card with hardware T&L & pixel shader
DirectX 9.0c-compatible sound card

The only thing I don't have is the hardware T&L & pixel shader. Maybe with a graphics card simulator like 3D Analyze it could work. The game seems to work good except for the view.

It's not an already played scenario. It's the beginning. I've just played Civ1 !!! [civ1]
I've tried to save and reload, but it didn't work.

PD: I've solved the unfamous "cursor problem". The solution isn't in the hardware accelerator or the pointer configuration inside the control panel. You just have to search and delete the cursor in the Beyond the Sword game folder. I replaced it with a Windows "arrow" located in the Windows folder and changed the name of it to the one that the BtS archive had. Instead of adopting that one, the game returned to the Civ4 original pointer, which works better than the other one.
