Great Person Mod (Bare Bones)

Want to add a touch of class to your mod? This is the bare bones BTS 3.19 component, in WoC format only, of the Great Person Mod. With only 1 easy python file to merge and two that require no merging at all, this mod will make a nice addition to any mod pack and is definitely worth having.

Here are the requirements to run the Great Person mod:

1. You must be running BTS 3.19
2. You must merge this mod into your existing mod (It will not run stand alone).
3. You must be running the BUG MOD (Preferably version 4.4)
4. You must be running WOC modules.
5. You must import the image (*.dds) files from the old mod into this mod.

Get the image files from the old mod here:

Place the image files in the following folder:

Modules\OrionsMods\GreatPersonMod\Art\GreatPeople

This mod will work with all of the standard BTS 3.19 great People and has one example for adding additional great people. The example is the Great Prophet Abraham which is loaded in two Excel files. The two Excel files are not required if you don't want to add any additional Great People.

Perhaps. If there is someway to get the mod path from CvUtil.py, then it might be possible to create a stand alone version. Right now I'm utilizing BUG functions to obtain the path.

In the development of this bare bones version, I wanted to trim as much python as I could to simplify the entire mod. I think it came out rather nice. ...for BUG users anyway.

Yes. If you run the mod without the Excel files, it should work without WoC.

I got it running in RoM, i tried in the python expert area for 6 months with no good copy, and here you go and get it done, WOW thx, like i said i have been trying now for over 6 months, so thx again.

Your situation is a good example of why I believe a bare bones copy was needed to simplify the merging process into existing mods. So you are welcome!

Thanks OV. We've been wanting to add this to BAT for a while. I was just about to start work on it this week, and you rode in on your white horse and saved the day.
