Maybe someone here can help me. I'm trying to remember the different Greek words for love. There is about four or five. One definitely is "agape", and maybe "karitas" is another. If anyone could give them and their meanings, it would be cool.

áãáðþ, áãÜðç
agapo, agapi

I have trouble writing in Greek, and reading it also. I'm a little better speaking it.

How did you manage to write in Greek? I always thought that wasn't possible in the forum!

To answer the question

There is: AãÜðç (Agapi) like AoA said and ¸ñùôáò (Erotas) which both mean love (Erotas is stronger).

But I really can't think of others! At least others that mean exactly "love"...

Well, the Greek are famous for there.......hehehehe. You know. There really should be more than that. I think Simon doesn't mind to learn all the words related to 'love'.

Oh there is also Öéëßá (Filia) which also means love but it's ancient Greek. Today Öéëßá means friendship...

I think I know what he meant, in one of my sociology courses there was a diagram showing 5 different levels or types of love and they were all greek names. I remember agape and erotas being there, and i'm sure "mania" was in there too. Like a mad uncontrollable love?

Oooh! Ok...
Let's see...
Mania? Máíßá=mad uncontrollable love? That must be only in ancient Greek and if you're right then the meaning has changed a lot!

Isn't there one something like "storge"? Or something like that? Perhaps that's an ancient Greek word. My Greek isn't very good.

You're right! ÓôïñãÞ means affection. I'll let you guys find the 2 others...
