Grigori - no Luonnotar

I am playing Grigori and achieved Strength of Will, but can't seem to promote anyone to a Luonnotar (unique unit for Luonnotar, replacing Druid). The requirements are supposed to be Strength of Will and a level 6+ unit. A special building doesn't seem to be required. I have several 6+ level chariots, archmages and so forth (mostly heroes). I do have 1 free Adventurer who will have enough exp for 6th level soon (unpromoted).

What i'm wondering is if the requirements for Druid also apply (Commune with Nature + Grove + Neutral alignment).

No, but the level 6 requirement does not mean that any level 6 unit can upgrade to a Luonnatar, only that those units that have that upgrade path need 6 levels. You have to upgrade it from a unit that can upgrade to unitclass_druid. That means Grigori Medics, Rangers, or (captured) Priests.


Really I don't see why the Luonnatar still has a level prereq. I think that is a holdover from when they could be used to build Altars of the Luonnatar, or when they were an Inquisitor UU and Inquisitor was a top tier disciple unit instead of a promotion.

You will be able to promote this adventurer to a Luonnotar if you have Animal Handling (required for Rangers) once it has enough experience for level 6 - but you will have to promote it to level 6 before that promotion option becomes available. Just having the xp alone is not enough. Promote it to a Scout/Hunter/Ranger, then level it up to level 6, then you'll have the option to promote it to a Luonnotar.
