Guarding Against Spy Sabotage

Hi. I am currently playing a Price-difficulty game in which every time I build a well on my oil source, a spy blows it up on the turn it's built every single time. I have military units and a spy guarding the space and no idea from where the enemy spy is coming. Is there any way to guard against this AI strategy? Thanks in advance.

Good question! Spies are supposed to have a lower chance of success if you have plenty of troops guarding it, but I don´t know how many you need. You could also capture an offshore platform and guard it with a fleet or simply keep five workers around to rebuild the well every turn.

Have about 5-10 units on the spot and surround them with other units about 5-10, also, put your spies there as well. It should work eventually, if not add about 10 units.
