Guess the City!

Sorry for the delay,
Miami was the first thing that popped to my mind. I spent a few days in Miami beach a few years ago, before heading for Key West, a billionaire island, and one of the best holidays of my life... :D

Expect the new pic in a few hours, I have to go now.

EDIT : Well, I quickly dug for one.

Hints : This city is a special place to me and not on the same continent as the previous one.
Hint 2 : There are some special points of interest in the pic that could help you find it.
Hint 3 : Since it's not a big one (less than 10,000 inhabitants), I'll allow the closest big city (which this one is a 'suburb' of).

Happy googling.

Ooooh, very close, but no.

Should be easy, now...

I said, very close...

Same city, different pov (includes famous citadel)

And important airport (hint, hint, wink, nudge...)

It's in France, right?

Tailless is correct.
In the 3rd pic you can clearly see Nice International airport (built on the sea), France's 3rd largest airport.
The exact place is Villefranche sur mer, a small (and pleasant) town that borders Nice on the east and where I lived for 10 years.
In the first pic, you can actually see our former house.
This is also where most of the action of the James Bond movie 'Never say never again' was shot.

I'm looking forward to going back there for the summer hollidays.

Guess-2.jpg

Hint 1: It's in a different continent than the previous city (although some would say they're the same one continent).
Hint 2 : The city is quite a big city (a bit smaller than Moscow) and is located at the foot of a well-known mountain range of historical and religious significance.
Hint 3 : Infamous as one of the most polluted cities on earth.

Helsinki ?

That's Teheran.

Hint: The shape of this city (can you see what it resembles?), suggests that this is a fairly new city.

Is it Brasilia ?

Brasilia it is! :goodjob: The shape resembles, at to me at least, an airplane.

Now that you mention it, it does indeed.
What gave it away was the double avenue with the parliament building below the 'wings'.

I'll leave the floor open, then.

I claim the long-open floor.
