Now it works.

Yay! I actually visit that site (Destiny of The World) regurarly because it's so interesting. :yeah:

Strange coincidence...

Nice...darn popup though! :D

Yep, nice site. Like the menu viewing options, too.

What popup? The map of the world? Or you might be getting ads. Hmmmm. AtGuard stopped ads, if any were there!

yeah, ad :( I have to try AtGuard.

yea I think this site is little too big for a map like that.
Like Dell said it would be too crowded. those maps are best for little forum sites just getting started or ones that never were busy to begin with.

Perhaps if it used a series of maps, it would work. You could have an overall world map and then smaller maps of each region and perhaps even some maps of particular cities, that have a lot of members. It would take along time to make this though...

Really Cool!
And I didn't get any pop-up!
It might get crowded, but what's the problem in trying?
So what do you think of it TF?

Edit2: and the zoom lets you take a better look at the crowded areas. I finally got the pop-up when I closed the thing. Grrrr!

I think this would be pretty cool for CFC. The only problem would be crowding in the cities. Is it possible to put multiple entries on top of each other for places like New York and London, and then have a drop-down box that includes all the people? Otherwise the first person to get there would mark their city and then all the others who live in that city would have to put their marks in rings around the city, which of course would make people who live in the suburbs have to put their mark even further away, and on and on until somebody living in New York has to put their pin in Kansas. :crazyeye:

A question to the guest map supporters: How often would you actually look at a guest map? I would probably look at it about twice a year.

I would look at it more often, but I'm a statistics and maps freak. :crazyeye:

I think more of a "problem" with it could be that is may get very unsignificant if too many people register there that visit the site one or two times and are gone then (remind you, there are 19000+ members at the moment...).

If there would be only 'regular' visitors of the site and the forum I would like to watch it. :D

ditto. I have maps all over the walls here. :D

How would you limit it to regular members? Perhaps a post count limit would work best but then this is likely to cause its own problems and what would the limit be? 10-50 posts sounds about right for me, and then they could use the map.
