I just got it and I must say it's AWESOME! One of te greatest things is there is finnaly no **** Pay to Play fee. you can learn a viraty of skills and abilities. There are plenty of quests and the world looks great. There is very little lag except in areas heavily populated with players. One thing that is kinda strange and yet awesome is you get your own playing feild when you go out into the wilderness. When in towns you can meet other players and team up with them thus allowing them to venture out into the wilderness together. There are sometimes very long load times for areas, but after the first load it goes pretty fast. The city you start out in takes particaly long. another really cool thing is you can die your equipment colors if you find dye. try it out

I am now a lvl 5 Warrior/Ranger amd its cool, I have an awesome animal companion, but i might soon have to replace him. And i just got some new armor, which is cool. The way you get armour is pretty cool. You have to get materials, like iron ingots, or fur or whatever else is neede and you take it to an armour smith and he makes it just for you, so its not like you can kill a baddie and pick up his armour and put it on, you have to get it specialized for you, which as I mentioned is cool.

I got GW the day it came out, I think... Or a few days after... I played it for a few months... But then I started playing on SoulForge, which is an NeverWinter Nights PW, and kinda got bored of Guild Wars... Hated the immaturity of the average GW player, too...

Nonetheless, I think its a good game, and a great concept... I got a character through the entire stroy before quitting, and thought it was pretty good. I like what they've done with it, and hope it goes well for NCSoft.

Yeah well after your done with PvE,the PvP is great and really fun.You'll need a good organized party of guildies or firiends to hold the Hall of Heroes.

Thats what I plan to try next. Still need to join a guild though, or maybe start one myself at level 20.

I have guild wars, and I got pretty into it, but then, I stopped playing for like a week. I haven't been able to get back into it, but I really want to.

Going to be getting it today, a friend of mine has been bleating on about it for so long me and another guy are going to join his guild just to hush him up. I am completely new to MMORPG's, though I get the general idea.

Any general beginners advice?

I thought about getting it for my birthday when I saw it for sale, but I wasn't sure about it, so I didn't get it.

£20 = $40+ Cad. THat's not cheap, it's low(er) price. Gmaes here usualy start out from $50-65 CAD.
