Guy Fawkes? Really?

Claus von Stauffenburg was one of the conspirators involved in the July 44 plot to kill Hitler.

Jing Ke
Qin Wuyang

Those are the 2 assassins that failed the assination attempt on Qin shihuang.
Including Jing Ke as great spy, I good with that, eventhough he failed, he got awfully close. But Qin Wuyang???? come on this guys is perhaps the biggest reason why Jing Ke failed his assasination attempt. If Qin Wuyang wasn't there, Jing Ke probably would succeed at killing Qin and we won't see Qin been represented in CIV series today, lol.

Now, I'm not saying anything about the Gundpowder Plot being right, wrong, or indifferent, and the first person who does will get a pie in the face.

Okay, at the risk of getting a pie in the face, I find this a bit odd. It seems strange that to me that so many people refuse to judge anything anymore. The gunpowder plot was a bad thing. Fawkes and his buddies wanted to set up a Catholic theocracy by blowing up the parliament while all of the government and monarchy leaders were in it.

It was an early act of terror carried out by religious extremists. I say that's wrong.

The only few names I recognize are Fawks, Hale and the two Rosenbergs. Dont Think I've heard of the other ones.

You must have heard of Giacomo Casanova. That's the famous lady's man. He was a spy as well.

As for Guy Fawkes: how many spies have a holiday named after them?

I think its kind of weak that great persons most of the times are not of the same nationality as the country it gets. As the Netherlands i want to get dutch great persons like Mata Hari, Vincent van Gogh, Rembrandt van Rijn etc, just like i get dutch city-names for my dutch city's.

Ephialtes was the Greek who betrayed the Spartans to the Persians at The Battle of Thermopylae. He is on the list.
