FYI Munich has holy shrine so is bringing in all the money so a bank will up that by 50%.
Ah, makes sense. But I think that getting its borders out have the higher priority. I *think* I left the bank in the queue?

hendu said:
I didn't think it mattered where Westpoint was built, thought it was good for all our citie, if not, sorry about that. Just drove in will catch back up tomorrow at work, looks like I didn't miss much though :P
Yes, West Point provides units built in *that* city +4 XP, so it really should be built in the same city that has +100% military unit production (Heroic Epic) to double up the benefit. And since both are national wonders, they make a natural pair, since you can't build any other national wonders in that city.

Sorry, but I'm having problems getting 1.52 working with any stability and unfortunatley don't have time to dig much more in to it today. You'll have to skip my turn here. Hopefully (!) will be up-and-running by the weekend if I can find time to debug and/or reinstall from scratch.

Take your time, its the holidays and most SG games take/took a one week break. Give us an update on Monday and we can skip then if needed.

Hi guys due to the New Year celebrations I won't be available till Tuesday or Wednesday of next week hope this isn't a problem.

Happy New Year everyone have a good one.

Don't understand this. I had to cancel the West Point build in Antium(?), and not only that, remove it from the queue before I was allowed to start it in Cumae. What other city was it being built in??

I don't exactly recall there being one there, *but* I do recall thinking that I'd be able to transport a settler to the mid-ocean island with a caravel, and then rethinking what to do with the settler once I found out I was wrong. I believe we've also completely settled our available land, at least to within non-crowding limits. So I'm pretty sure the settler was relatively useless until galleons.

Not sure if that's :smoke: or not, but the extra specialists in each city would be really nice.

Looks good!! I'm ready to see some Mongol heads roll!!

It was in Teotihuacan; we got 298 gold when it was cancelled due to “no longer able to build”. You can check in the in-game event log for the exact turn.

Was the build cancelled exactly? Or did you just get a notification that the gold was received? My only guess is that the city "remembered" the shields that we'd invested there even though the wonder was no longer in the queue. That is, the wonder was "invisibly" still in the queue. If so, that's nice to know that I didn't completely waste the few turns we'd spent constructing it.

Since the build was partially done we get money credit when it can't be built anymore doesn't matter if another civ built it or another one of our cities.

I know that. What I'm saying is that I had to remove it from the queue in Teotihuacan *completely* in order to start it in another city. What must have happened here is that we got credit for the hammers invested, even though the wonder was no longer visibly in the queue. Good to know.

Guys I'll post the screenies soon, I'm sick as a dog and just wanted to get this posted. Mongolian Empire fell on my last turn, so there are a lot of unhappy cities, but they should all go away when you hit end turn. Great setup to the previous player. I just moved my units up did some recon and split them up as needed. The battle went as the odds said until the last city, lost a 79% and a 68% battle.
