Good idea fbouthil.
4 turns of anarchy to go.
1 - 280AD: Attack Canton with elite Sword and lo and behold a leader appears! I decide
to build a Forbidden palace in Andrew Jackson instead of an army. I hurry it along.
Two more sword attacks and Canton is ours. Found Ulysses S. Grant on the desert near
the Mayans, just before a Mayan settler was due to arrive -- good timing by my
predecessors! I rename Canton Fbouthilburg in his honor.
IBT: FP completes in Andrew Jackson
2 - 290AD: Xinjian falls, gets renamed James Monroe. Somehow, China is not dead?
Guess the've got a settler on a boat somewhere. We'll find out.
IBT: Mayans build Great Library, Koreans switch to TofA.
3 - 300AD:
IBT: Switch to Republic, Egyptians build TofA.
4 - 310AD:
IBT: Maya and someone else start great wall.
5 - 320AD: Buy a marketplace in New Saint Louis, gives us $4 more per turn.
6 - 330AD: Outfit a settler operation to populate the pretty islands to our SE.
7 - 340AD:
8 - 350AD:
9 - 360AD: Start embassies w/Maya and Rome.
10- 370AD:
Well, looks like my approval rating is 95% -- maybe because of my marketplace? Well, it
can't last! But good enough to get me reelected for now.
11- 380AD: Woah, that was a mistake. Romans just unload a warrior and a spearman next
to our capital. I sell Caesar silks for $18, knowing that he won't get the benefit of it
since he's going to attack me. Well, this will give our Swords something to do anyway.
The money gives me enough to upgrade the warrior in the capital to a sword.
IBT: Romans declare, their warrior is defeated by the new sword in the capital. I'm
mobilizing the swordsmen from the West continent for the new battle (but keeping some
around to take care of the Maya). Since the Maya look like they aren't going to be
the target of our attacks soon, I trade them silks for cash and $4/turn. Also start an
ROP.
12- 390AD: Found John F. Kennedy in the desert island (hoping for saltpeter). Uhoh -
Roman Legion spotted. This could get tricky. Feudalism in 4, that will help.
13- 400AD: Romans land a legion next to Clinton, I take it out with the Sword that was
in the city (good job someone, to have him in there!). Unloading Swordsmen onto main
island for a mass upgrade to Midievals that will go Midieval on the Romans' asses.
14- 410AD: Mayans start Sun Tsu's. The George Patton is destroyed when I attack a Roman
galley.
15- 420AD: Feudalism arrives, I start on Engineering next.
16- 430AD:
17- 440AD:
18- 450AD: Romans dump 2 dudes next to Clinton this time. I happen to have the Omar N.
Bradley in port with a settler and spear, I dump the spear to help hold Clinton, hoping
to move on South toward JFK when I get the chance. I attack with Clinton's well-used
Sword (innuendo intended), but he loses.
19- 460AD: Clinton's Spear does win, however, when attacked by the roman archers. I dump
4 MIs onto the Romans' island to first pillage his Iron and next to go on the rampage.
20- 480AD:
Okay, all set for an assault on the Roman city of Antium.
